Jane Woolven was baptised 4 November
1782 in West Grinstead. She died aged 84 years and was buried on 26
January 1866 in Warnham. The burial register noted that she was
from the Horsham workhouse.
Jane married
James Willard on 6 September 1808 in West Grinstead, Sussex.
They were both then of West Grinstead. The witnesses to their
marriage were Susanna Stringer and William Gratwick.
James was baptised on 13 March 1785 in Warnham, Sussex and was the son
of
William Willard (1757-1831) and
Leah Jay
(1761-1817). He died aged 73 years and was buried on 11 November
1856 in Warnham.

James Woolvin was baptised on 2 July 1784 in Cowfold and buried
there on 16 April 1785. The baptism and burial register recorded
that his parents were paupers.

Henry Woolvin was baptised on 4 September 1785 in Cowfold and
buried there on 8 November 1785. The baptism and burial register
recorded that his parents were paupers.

William Woolvin was baptised on 7 March 1785 in Cowfold and buried
there on 13 February 1789. The baptism and burial register recorded
that his parents were paupers.

Sarah Woolvin was baptised on 6 April 1788 in Cowfold.
Sarah may have married Jesse Parsons by banns on 11 April
1815 in Cowfold. He was a bachelor and she a spinster. The
witnesses to their marriage were James Richardson and
William Hills.
Jesse died aged 72 years in Lower Beeding and was buried on 29 June 1856 in Cowfold, therefore, he was
born about 1784. When the 1851 census was recorded the couple were
living at Crabtree in Lower Beeding. Jessie was a 69 year old
pauper and Sarah was 65, therefore, she was born about 1786. A
Sarah Parsons from Cuckfield died aged 82 years and was
buried on 31 October 1868 in Cowfold.
Another Sarah Woolvin
was baptised on 24 May 1785 in Cowfold, the daughter of John
Woolvin and Mary. And a Sarah
Woolven married James Peirce by banns on 3
January 1814 in Cowfold. James was a bachelor and Sarah a
spinster. The witnesses to their marriage were John Martin
and R. Peirce. In 1851 this
couple were living at Mockford in Cowfold. James was 66 years old
and Sarah 65, therefore, she was also born about 1786. A
Sarah Pierce died aged 67 years and was buried on 14 June 1852
in Cowfold.

Ann Woolvin was baptised on 14 June 1789 in Cowfold and the baptism
register noted that her parents were paupers. She died aged 91 years
and was buried on 30 June 1880 in Cowfold. She married
James Richardson

Richard Woolvin was baptised on 27 November 1791 in Cowfold and the
baptism register noted that his parents were paupers. He died aged
79 years and was buried on 29 April 1869 in Cowfold. When the 1841
census was recorded he was said to have been 42 years and living with
his sister Ann in Cowfold. In 1851 he
was an unmarried 61 year cooper and living with his elder sister, Ann
and her family.
