and Elizabeth MAUNT (c1670-?)

 

St. Andrews, West Tarring, from: http://victorians.westsussex.gov.uk/ccm/content/leisure-and-tourism/sussex-churches---open-in-west-sussex.en?page=4John Woods and Elizabeth Maunt were my 7x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their place in my pedigree chart.)  They married on 3 November 1692 at the parish church of St. Andrews in West Tarring, Sussex.

John Woods date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Elizabeth Maunt's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  There was an Elizabeth Maunt baptised on 1 November 1669 in West Dean, near Chichester, Sussex, the daughter of William Maunt and Joan Taylor.  But an Elizabeth Maunt married William Terry by licence dated 8 September 1694.  She was then a spinster and they were both of Boxgrove, Sussex.

Elizabeth may have had a sister, Susanna Maunt who married Thomas Sewell on 3 December 1690 in West Tarring.

 

John Woods and Elizabeth Maunt had 1 known child:

  1. Avis Woods, my 6x Great Grandmother, was baptised on 28 February 1701/2 in West Tarring.  She married Thomas Scutt in 1720.  (They have their own page.)
