Hersey WILLARD
(c1745-1797)
and Mary BOORER (?-?)

Hersey Willard and Mary Boorer married by
licence on 11 June 1771 in Ockley, Surrey. (They were not my direct
ancestors.)
Hersey Willard's date and place of birth/baptism are
unknown, to me, although I am guessing he was born about 1745 and may have
been the son of
Edward Willard
(1707-?) and
Jane Hersey
(?-1752). He was buried on 31 March 1797 in Ockley.
Mary Boorer's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown,
to me. She may have been buried on 26 November 1792 in Ockley.
Hersey Willard and Mary Boorer had 6 known children:

Henry Willard was baptised on 13 December 1771 in
Ockley. He died aged 62 years and was buried on 26 March 1834 in
Ockley. Henry
married Anne Maynard on 7 February 1797 in
Ockley, Surrey. He was of Ockley and she was from Mottingham,
Kent.
Ann may have
died aged 81 years and have been buried in Ockley in 1850, therefore,
born about 1769.
Henry and Anne
had the following children:

Henry Willard was baptised on 25 September 1798 in Ockley.
He died aged 36 years and was buried on 3 September 1834 in Ockley.

Anne Willard was baptised on 3 September 1800 in Ockley.
-
Mary Willard was baptised on 9 October 1801 in Ockley.
She may have died aged 37 years and have been buried on 2 December
1838 in Ockley.

Sarah Willard was baptised on 11 March 1803 in Ockley.
-
John Willard was baptised on 19 September 1804 in Ockley.
John
married Mary Tidy on 3 February 1840 in Ockley.
Mary was
born about 1816 in Ewhurst, Surrey.
When the
1841 census was recorded the couple were living Ockley, Surrey.
He was a 30 year old butcher and she was 25. They both said
they were born in Surrey. With them on census night was their
daughter Mary, 15 year old servant Henry Willard,
20 year old servant George Goodman and 15 year old
servant Elizabeth Christmas. Living nearby
was 70 year old Ann Willard who was not born in
Surrey.
In 1851 the
couple and 6 children were living in Ockley Street, Ockley.
John was a 46 year old butcher and Mary was 35. He gave his
place of birth as Ockley and she as Ewhurst. Also with the
family were 3 house servants, namely 30 year old Henry
Charman, 17 year old Frances Sl??? and 19
year old Mary Ann Charman.
John and
Mary had the following children:

Mary Willard was baptised on 20 November 1840
in Ockley. She was a 10 year old scholar in 1851.

John Willard was baptised on 18 May 1842 in
Ockley. He was an 8 year old scholar in 1851.

Ann Willard was baptised on 16 February 1844 in
Ockley. She was a 6 year old scholar in 1851.

Henry Beauvois Willard was baptised on 18 March
1846 in Ockley. He was a 4 year old scholar in 1851.

Charles James Willard was baptised on 4
February 1848 in Ockley.

Kate Willard was baptised on 20 March 1850 in
Ockley.

Charlotte Willard was baptised on 7 May 1852 in
Ockley.

Elisabeth Willard was baptised on 23 July 1806 in Ockley.
-
Charlotte Willard was baptised on 28 December 1808 in
Ockley and buried there on 27 January 1826, aged 17 years.

Mary
Willard was baptised on 7 October 1774 in Ockley.

Hersey
Willard was baptised on 4 October 1776 in Ockley and buried
there on 1 June 1777.

Benjamin Willard was baptised on 20 July 1781 in Ockley.

Boorer
Willard was baptised on 10 September 1784 in Ockley and buried
there on 6 November 1784.

Edward
Willard was baptised on 6 March 1789 in Ockley.
