Ancestors of Mandy Willard

John WILD (c1670-1720)

and Catherine AUSTIN (1672-1743)

John Wild and Catherine Austin may have been my 7x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their possible place in my pedigree chart.)  They married on 2 November 1703 in West Dean, West Sussex.

John Wild's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He was buried on 28 November 1720 in West Dean and it was recorded in the burial register that he was John Wile a "Goodman".

Catheine Austin was baptised on 25 April 1672 in West Dean.  She was the daughter of Francis Austin (?-1703) and Catherine Cowper.  She may have been buried on 27 March 1743 in West Dean, but the transcript of the burial register only records that widow Wiles was buried.

John Wild and Catherine Austin had 5 known children:

1. John Wild was baptised on 13 October 1704 in West Dean and buried there on 25 October 1711.

2. Elizabeth Wild was baptised on 17 February 1708 in West Dean.

3. Francis Wild was baptised on 31 July 1709 in West Dean.

4. Daniel Wild, my possible 6x Great Grandfather,  was baptised on 25 July 1711 in West Dean.  He married Mary Cobby in 1736.  (They have their own page.)

5. John Wild was baptised on 25 October 1713 in West Dean.
