The Will of
Stephen WHITEMAN
(1797-1890)

I,
Stephen Whiteman,
of Elizabeth Street, Liverpool, County of Cumberland, New South Wales,
Australia make this my last will and testament in the presence of Almighty
God; being of sound mind and in possession of all my mental facalties,
resting by faith alone on Christ Jesus for eternal salvation After payment
of all my just debts, funeral and testamentory expenses I GIVE, DEVISE and
BEQUEATH to my wife Ann Whiteman, the whole of my real and
personal estate for her sole use and benefit during the term of her natural
life And at the decease of my wife Ann Whiteman the whole
of my real and personal estate to be divided equally between Ann
Maria Lavender, my first child, Thomas my second,
Eliza Dark my third and John my fourth and
also Emily Gilbert my Grand-daughter and daughter of my
eldest child Ann Maria by her first marriage and their
heirs or assigns for ever AND I hereby appoint Charles Stratford,
Teacher of the Public School Liverpool executor of this my will AS WITNESS
my hand this second day of May in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy two.

last will and testament in the presence of us being present at the same time
who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have
hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
