was issued the day before by the Archdeaconry of Lewes. It
recorded that Michael was a 20 year old labourer of the parish of St.
Thomas Cliffe, Lewes and married with the consent of John Weller.
Sarah was a 19 year old spinster of Fletching and married with the
consent of Charles Sendall. The sponsors of the
licence were Michael himself and Robert Jenner a yeoman
of Horsted Keynes.
