John WARMAN
(1734-1820)
and Hannah JENNINGS (1737-1805)

John Warman
and
Hannah Jennings
were my 5x Great Grandparents. (Click
here to see their place in my pedigree chart.) They married
on Thursday 23 November 1758 in Beenham, Berkshire. Hannah was then a Spinster.
John Warman
was baptised on Wednesday 15 December 1734
in Chieveley, Berkshire. He was the son of Thomas Worman
(c1710-1787) and
Hannah Fisher (1712-1790), although only his father's name was recorded in the baptism
register. He died aged 90 years (according to the burial
register)
and was buried on Monday 25 December 1820 in Beenham. He seems to have been the
first Warman in Beenham, although there were a few in the early 1600's.
It is thought he may have inherited property in Beenham from his wife's
family.
Hannah Jennings
was baptised on Saturday 31 August 1737 in Beenham.
She was the second child and only daughter of
5
113
John
Jennings (1706-1765)
and

Ann Corrall (1702-1776). She was buried on
Thursday 18 April
1805 in Beenham.
John Warman and Hannah
Jennings had 5 known children:

Beenham. She died there in her 21st year on Saturday 8 September 1781 and was buried on 10 September 1781.
A headstone was found by Ken Pointer and Joan Beasley in the Beenham
churchyard, it was leaning on the outside of the back church wall, on one side was recorded Mary's 1781 death and on the other that of
Ann
Warman aged 82 who died on 1 June 1845.

Independent Chapel in Reading. He left a
Will dated 10 January 1848 which stated he was of 33 Soho Street, Reading.
His Will was proved on 4 February 1848. In his Will he mentioned 2
daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Evans wife of George Evans and
Mary Frances a widow.

my 4x Great Grandfather, was baptised on Sunday 26 August 1770 in
