Arthur Wadey married Mary Silvester by banns on 12 May 1818 in Angmering, Sussex.  He was then from the parish of St. Peter the Great in Chichester.  The witnesses to their marriage were John Bongard and Ann Bongard.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

At the time of the 1851 census, Mary Wadey was a 62 year old widow, nurse and servant in the home of 88 year old Harry Comper at Little London in the St. Andrew's parish of Chichester.  Also part of the household was 48 year old widow, nurse and servant Jane Bagshall (Mary and Jane were sisters.)
