William VINALL
(1791-1877)
and Mary HILL (c1787-1836)
and Ann WOOLGAR (1808-1874)

William Vinall married twice, firstly to Mary Hill
by licence on 18 October 1817 in Cowfold, Sussex. He was a bachelor
and she a spinster. The witnesses to their marriage were Jane
Vinall and Peter Page. He then married
Ann Woolgar married on 24 March 1838 in West Grinstead, Sussex.
He was then a widower and bricklayer from Cowfold. She was a spinster.
Their fathers were named as John Vinall a bricklayer and
Stephen Woolgar a labourer. The witnesses to their marriage
were Mary Monnery and Stephen Woolgar.
(They were not my direct ancestors.
Ann was the grand niece of my 5x Great Grandfather,
Samuel Woolgar.)
William Vinall was baptised on 24 July 1791 in Cowfold,
Sussex. He was the son of John Vinall
and Ann Richardson. William died in 1877.
Mary Hill's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to
me. She died aged 49 years and was buried on 25 March 1836 in Cowfold.
Ann Woolgar was baptised on 10 April 1808 in West
Grinstead, Sussex. She was the daughter of
Stephen Woolgar
(1778-1852) and
Margaret Packham
(c1780-?). Ann died in 1874.
William Vinall and Mary Hill had 4 known children:

Thomas Budd Vinall was baptised on 18 January 1818 in
Cowfold, at which time his father was a bricklayer. He died aged
10 years and was buried on 28 June 1828 in Cowfold.

William Vinall was baptised on 6 June 1819 in Cowfold,
at which time his father was a bricklayer. He died aged 1 week and
was buried on 9 November 1819 in Cowfold.

Ann Vinall was baptised on 21 December 1823 in Cowfold,
at which time her father was a bricklayer.

Sophia Vinall was baptised on 25 December 1825 in
Cowfold, at which time her father was a bricklayer.
William Vinall and Ann
Woolgar had 5 known children:

Frances Vinall was baptised on 21 October 1838 in
Cowfold, at which time her father was a bricklayer.

Henry Vinall was baptised on 30 May 1841 in Cowfold, at
which time his father was a bricklayer.

Guildford Vinall was baptised on 24 September 1843 in
Cowfold, at which time his father was a mason.

Margaret Vinall was
baptised on 2 June 1851 in Lower Beeding. She died in 1881. Margaret married
Walter Lindfield
in 1875. (They have their own page.)

Harriet Vinall was baptised on 2 June 1851 in Lower
Beeding, at which time her father was a bricklayer.
