William VINALL (1791-1877)

and Mary HILL (c1787-1836)

and Ann WOOLGAR (1808-1874)

William Vinall married twice, firstly to Mary Hill by licence on 18 October 1817 in Cowfold, Sussex.  He was a bachelor and she a spinster.  The witnesses to their marriage were Jane Vinall and Peter Page.  He then married Ann Woolgar married on 24 March 1838 in West Grinstead, Sussex.  He was then a widower and bricklayer from Cowfold.  She was a spinster.  Their fathers were named as John Vinall a bricklayer and Stephen Woolgar a labourer.  The witnesses to their marriage were Mary Monnery and Stephen Woolgar.  (They were not my direct ancestors.  Ann was the grand niece of my 5x Great Grandfather, Samuel Woolgar.)

William Vinall was baptised on 24 July 1791 in Cowfold, Sussex.  He was the son of John Vinall and Ann Richardson.  William died in 1877.

Mary Hill's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  She died aged 49 years and was buried on 25 March 1836 in Cowfold.

Ann Woolgar was baptised on 10 April 1808 in West Grinstead, Sussex.  She was the daughter of Stephen Woolgar (1778-1852) and Margaret Packham (c1780-?).  Ann died in 1874.

William Vinall and Mary Hill had 4 known children:
