Thomas VENNOLL (c1620-?)

and Jane (c1620-?)

 

Thomas Vennoll and Jane may have married sometime before or about 1645 in or around West Hoathly, Sussex.

Thomas Vennoll's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Jane's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

 

Thomas Vennoll and Jane may have had the following children:

  1. Thomas Vennoll was baptised on 14 September 1645 in West Hoathley.  Only his father's name was recorded in the baptism register.

  2. Richard Vennol was baptised on 1 July 1649 in West Hoathly.  The baptism register recorded that he was the son of Thomas and Jane.

    3. Richard married Ann Holden on 22 May 1681 in West Hoathly. 

    Richard and Ann had the following children:

    1. Richard Vennoll was baptised on 11 March 1681/2 in West Hoathly.

    2. Elizabeth Vennoll was baptised on 5 April 1684 in West Hoathly.

    3. Anne Vennoll was baptised on 8 June 1686 in West Hoathly.

    4. Susanna Vennoll was baptised on 26 August 1688 in West Hoathly.  She may have been buried on 14 August 1689 in West Hoathly, but she may have had an aunt Susanna Vennol.

  3. John Vennol may have been part of this family.  He married Susanna Payne in 1678.  (They have their own page.)

  4. Mary Vynall or Vennal may have been part of this family.  She married William Box in 1679.

George Vennoll and Agnes Snatte married on 25 April 1625 in West Hoathly.  They had the following children:

  1. Richard Vinall was baptised on 10 April 1626 in West Hoathly.

  2. Elizabeth Vinall was baptised on 29 December 1633 in West Hoathly.

  3. Thomas Vinolle was baptised on 18 December 1636 in West Hoalthly.

 

Richard Vinoll and Eleanor Tye married on 24 May 1634 in West Hoathly.

 

Richard Vinoll and Katherine Cressye married on 27 May 1637 in West Hoathly.  Their marriage licence was issued on 13 May 1637 by the Archdeaconry of Lewes, which recorded that he was a husbandman and she a spinster and they were both of West Hoathly.  They may have been the parent of:

  1. John Vinol was baptised on 28 January 1638 in West Hoathly.  His parents names were recorded as John and Rahchall.

  2. Joane Vinoll was baptised on 8 March 1640 in West Hoathly.  Her parents names were recorded as John and Cath.

  3. Barbara Vennoll was baptised on 4 March 1645 in West Hoathly.  Both her parents were named.

  4. Anne Vennoll was baptised on 9 February 1647 in West Hoathly.  Both her parents were named.

Thomas Vinoll and jane Challoner married on 4 June 1621 in East Chiltington.

John Vinall and Joanna Ballard married on 8 October 1621 in West Firle.

William Vennell and Elizabeth Dine married on 15 June 1623 in Westmeston.  He was a shepherd of Arrington.

John Vinall and Margaret Newnam married on 3 August 1624 in Chailey.

Thomas Veinoll and Katherin Nightingale married on 26 October 1625 in Cuckfield.  Their marriage licence was issued by the Archdeaconry of Lewes on 21 October 1625.  It recorded that he was a husbandman of Cuckfield and she a spinster of Rusper.  Surety was provided by Thomas Burt a yeoman of Cuckfield and Ninian Norton a yeoman of Hurstpierpoint.

John Vinall married on 24 November 1625 in Maresfield or 8 December 1625 in Horsted Keynes.  She was a widow.

Nicholas Venell and Alice Haselden married on 12 June 1627 at St. Anne's in Lewes.  She was from Chailey.  A marriage licence was issued on 9 June 1627 by the Archdeaconry of Lewes, to Richard Vennoll and Alice Haselden.  He was a yeoman and she a widow and they were both of Chailey.  Surety for the licence was provided by Richard himself and Thomas Reade a hostler of Lewes.

 

John Vynall and Margaret Ade married by licence on 27 October 1628 in Iford.  Their marriage licence was issued on 18 October 1628 by the Archdeaconry of Lewes.  It recorded that he was a yeoman of Kingston by Lewes and she a spinster of Iford.  Surety for the licence was provided by John himself and John Ade a yeoman of Iford.  A John and Margaret were the parents of:

  1. Richard Vynall was baptised on 20 October 1639 in Kingston near Lewes.

 

Theodore Vinall and Elizbaeth Tompkin married by licence on 8 February 1628/9 in Laughton.  Their marriage licence was issued the day before by the Archdeaconry of Lewes which recorded that he was a hosier of Arlington and she spinster of the same place.  Surety was provided by Theodore himself and Thomas Marteman a husbandman of Arlington.

Robert Venil and Mary Burges married on 21 April 1629 in Buxted.

Thomas Vinall and Mary Luck or Mary Yoorke married on 7 August 1632 in Chailey.

 

John Vinall and Mary Russell married on 1 June 1634 in Horsted Keynes.  They may have  had the following child:

  1. Anne Vinall was baptised on 4 May 1635 in Horsted Keynes.  Only her father's name was recorded.

 

John Vinall and Jane Michell married on 7 October 1634 in Henfield.

Thomas Vinal and Ann West married on 11 February 1635/6 in Cuckfield.

Edward Venell and Sarah Smith married on 6 November 1636 in Bolney.  A marriage licence was issued on 3 November 1636 by the Archdeaconry of Lewes to Edward Vynall and Mary Smith.  He was a millwright of West Hoathly and she a spinster of Bolney.  Surety was provided by Edward himself and Thomas Burkin a locksmith of Lewes.

Richard Vinall and Joan Dann married on 26 October 1637 in Worth.

 

John Vinall and Joan Payne married on 22 May 1638 in Horsted Keynes.  They may have had the following children:

  1. John Vinall was baptised on 29 June 1643 in Horsted Keynes.  Only his father's name was recorded.

  2. Henry Vinall was baptised on 28 April 1642 in Horsted Keynes.  Only his father's name was recorded.

 

Richard Vinall and Ann Myles married on 23 April 1639 in Cuckfield.  They had the following child:

  1. Richard Vinall was baptised on 4 April 1641 in Cuckfield and buried there on 11 April 1641.

 

John Vinall and Elizabeth Button married by licence on 10 September 1639 in Isfield.  He was a yeoman of Kingston by Lewes and she was of Mayfield.  Their marriage licence was issued on 7 September 1639 in South Malling and it also recorded that she was a spinster.  Surety for the licence was provided by William Wood a yeoman of Mayfield and William Lane a gent of Lewes.

Richard Vinall and Mary Tye married on 4 June 1640 in Chailey.

Nicholas Vynoll and Eden Jinner married on 1 October 1640 in Wivelsfield.  Their marriage licence was issued on 26 September 1640 by the Archdeaconry of Lewes which recorded that he was a yeoman of Chailey and she a widow of Wivelsfield.  Surety for the licence was provided by Nicholas himself and John Pryor a shoemaker of Lewes.  The licence recorded their names as Nicholas Vynall and Eden Jenner.

John Vinal and Elizabeth Buckland married on 25 May 1643 in Piddinghoe.  He was a yeoman of Kingston by Lewes and she was from Southover in Lewes.

Stephen Vinall and Katherine Anstie married on 30 May 1643 in Balcombe.

 

William Vinal and Mary Carter married on 20 June 1645 in Horsted Keynes.  They may have had the following child:

  1. Mary Venall was born on 30 September 1655 in Horsted Keynes.  Only her father's name was recorded.

 

Richard Vinoll and Mary King married on 17 September 1646 in Ringmer.  He was of Laughton and she of Ringmer.

 

John Vinall and Katherine Wakerell married on 3 April 1649 in Horsted Keynes.

 

Richard Vinall was the father of:

  1. Richard Vinall was baptised on 21 May 1650 in Bolney.

 

Ellis Vinall and Timothy were the parents of:

  1. Richard Vinall was baptised on 14 July 1650 in Cuckfield.

 

Richard Vinall and [blank] Denman married on 4 November 1651 in Newick.  She was a widow and they were both from Chailey.

Banns of marriage were published at St. Michael's in Lewes in August 1654 between John Vinall of Maresfield and Elizabeth Gratwick of West Grinstead, the daughter of widow Joan Gratwick.

Banns of marriage were published at St. Michael's in Lewes in October 1655 between John Vinall a husbandman of Newick and Elizabeth Wenham a widow of Southover.

Edward Vinall and Jane Blathall married on 3 January 1655/6 in Cuckfield.  He was a tailor.  The Lindfield register also records the marriage on the same day and notes that Edward was a tailor and Jane a widow and they were both of Cuckfield.  The banns were published in Steyning, and they recorded they were both of Cuckfield.

William Vynall and Elizbaeth Dobell married on 13 May 1655 in Kingston by Lewes.  She was from Street.

Thomas Vinall and Mary Savige married on 16 September 1656 in Framfield.  He was from Chiltington and she was of Framfield.

Henry Vynall and Eleanor Thetcher married on 26 May 1657 in Lindfield.  He was a husbandman and they were both of Lindfield.

John Vinall and Mary Suzen married on 16 November 1657 in Glynde.  She was from West Firle.

Banns of marriage were published at St. Michael's in Lewes in June 1659 between Thomas Vinoll a cordwainer of Wivelsfield and Dorothy Wood a spinster of Fletching.

 

John Vinold and Jane Lucas married on 1 May 1666 in Henfield.  They had the following children:

  1. Mary Vinall was baptised on 20 September 1635 in Henfield.

  2. Ann Vinall was baptised on 3 September 1637 in Henfield.

 

John Vinall and Jane had the following child:

  1. Suzan Vinall was baptised on 15 September 1667 in Horsted Keynes.
