Simeon's Great

-
Josiah Tullett
was baptised on 4 May 1856 in Cuckfield.
He died aged 4 years and was buried on 10 October 1859 in Cuckfield.
The family were very unfortunate as 4 sons
died very close together in October 1859 (buried 7th, 10th, 12th and 14th).
I would guess there had been an illness in the family. At some point I
will try and check a newspaper of the time to see if any epidemic had been
reported in the Cuckfield area.
In 1841 the family were in
Clayton; by 1851 they were at Ansty Cross, Cuckfield; 1861 Highlands,
Cuckfield; and 1871 Borde Hill Cottage, Cuckfield. In 1881 Simeon and
Ann were back at Highlands along with 34 year boarder
Amos Beard.
I am not in touch with any descendants of this family.
