Laurence TILLET (c1610-1672)

and Elizabeth LUNT (c1620-1690)

Laurence Tillot and Elizabeth Lunt married on 3 October 1642 in Haslemere, Surrey.

Laurence Tillet's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He was most probably the son of Laurence Tyllet and Mary Grenefield.  Laurence was buried on 26 July 1672 in Billingshurst, Sussex and the burial register noted that he was Lawrence Tillett, senior.  He left a will (click here to read my transcript).  Laurence was a carpenter.

Elizabeth Lunt's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  She was buried on 26 March 1690 in Billingshurst.  The burial register recorded that Elizabeth Tillat was a widow.

Laurence Tillet and Elizabeth Lunt had 3 known children:

  1. Lawrence Tillet was baptised on 9 July 1643 in Billingshurst.  He married Susan West in 1681.  (They have their own page.)

  2. John Tillet was baptised on 2 May 1647 in Billingshurst.  He was mentioned in his father's will.  He may have been buried on 29 February 1682/3 in Billingshurst.  The burial register recorded that John Tillat was a husbandman.

  3. Elizabeth Tillett was baptised on 1 April 1652 in Billingshurst.  She was mentioned in her father's will.

Elizabeth may have had an illegitimate son:

    1. Daniel Tillett was baptised on 15 February 1680/1 in Billingshurst.
