James Thomas
Tullett and Charlotte Burtenshaw Cox married by banns on 19 October 1891
in Staplefield, Sussex. He was then said to be a 25 year old bachelor
and coachman and she a 28 year old spinster. Their fathers were named
as Harry Tullett a baker and Robert Cox a
farmer. The witnesses to their marriage were John Burtenshaw
Cox and Jess Burtenshaw Cox (They were not my direct ancestors, but they were David Fyson's Grandparents.)
James Thomas
Tullett was born on 15 June 1870 and baptised on 10 July 1870 in
Ditchling, Sussex. He was the son
Henry Tullett (1845-?) and
Louisa Maria Moorey (1841-?).
Charlotte
Burtenshaw Cox was born in 1864 in Staplefield, although in the 1901
census her place of birth was recorded as Chailey, Sussex. She was the daughter
of Robert Burtenshaw Cox (c1830-?) and Sarah Burgess.
She died before 1907. Her death may have been registered in the second
quarter of 1905 in the St. Marylebone, London registration district as 41
year old Charlotte Tullett.
At the time of the
1901 census the family were living at Oaken Hall Lodge in Cumnor, Berkshire.
James was then earning his living as a domestic gardener.

Tullett and Charlotte Burtenshaw Cox had 7 known children:

Tullett was born 1892 in Ditchling. She was 8 years old when the
1901 census was recorded.

Tullett was born about 1895 in Ditchling. The 1901 census
records that he was 6 year old James W. Tullett.

Tullett was born on 7 March 1896 in Five Ashes, Sussex. She died
on 22 December 1974 in East Dulwich, London. In 1901 she was 5 years
old.
Lucy married William
Fyson on 28 August 1920 in Kensington, London.

Charlotte Tullett was born in the first quarter of 1899 in East Grinstead, Sussex.
She was a twin. At the time of the 1901 census she was 2 years old.

Edith Amy
Tullett was born and died in the first quarter of 1899. She was a
twin.

Louise Tullett

Violet Mary
Tullett was born in the fourth quarter of 1902 in the Abingdon,
Berkshire registration district. She died in 1985.
