Stephen de THORPE (c1450-1503)

and Dyonis ELAND

and Isabel CONSTABLE (c1450-1505)

 

Stephen de Thorpe and Isabel Constable married after 20 May 1469.  They may have been my 15x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their place in my pedigree chart.)  He also married Dyonis Eland.

Stephen de Thorpe of Thorpe next Welwyk, was born about 1446-58.  He was the son of Stephen de Thorpe (c1425-c1475) and Joan Eyre.  He died on 13 June 1503.

Dyonis Eland was the daughter of William Eland.

Isabel Constable was the daughter of Sir John Constable of Halsham and Lora Fitz Hugh.  She died in 1505.

 

Stephen de Thorpe and Isabel Constable had the following children:

  1. John Thorpe was born about 1488 in Welwyk, Yorkshire.  (He has his own page.)

  3. Lancelot Thorpe

  4. George Thorpe

  5. Bartholomew Thorpe

  6. Arthur Thorpe

  7. Lora Thorpe married Peter Frodingham, gentleman.

  8. Alice Thorpe married William Newton.

  9. Margaret Thorpe married John Newton.

  10. Dorothy Thorpe married William Bawde.

  11. Elizabeth Thorpe married William Hedon.

  12. Isabel Thorpe married Francis Stangeways.
