Thomas STREETER (1764-1839)

and Sarah JAY (?-?)

Thomas Streeter and Sarah Jay married by banns on 5 June 1787 in Pulborough, Sussex.  He was a bachelor and she a spinster and they were both of Pulborough.  The witnesses to their marriage were Ann Streeter and Thomas Joyes.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

Thomas Streeter was baptised on 20 May 1764 in Billingshurst, Sussex.  He was the son of William Streeter and Sarah Braby.  Thomas died aged 74 years and was buried on 11 February 1839 in Pulborough.

Sarah Jay's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Thomas Streeter and Sarah Jay had 3 known children:

  1. Thomas Streater was baptised on 6 July 1788 in Pulborough.  He married Martha Briggs in 1810.  (They have their own page.)

  2. James Streater was baptised on 15 May 1791 in Pulborough.

  3. George Streater was baptised on 7 July 1805 in Pulborough.
