Harry STREDWICK (1871-1928)

and Annie Maria BLOOMFIELD (1869-1959)

 

Harry Stredwick and Annie Maria Bloomfield married in the fourth quarter of 1894 in the Steyning registration district.  (They were not my direct ancestors.  Their daughter married my dad's uncle.)

Harry Stredwick was baptised on 7 January 1872 in Portslade, Sussex.  He was the son of Samuel Stredwick (1844-?) and Caroline Harding (1844-?).  He died aged 58 years on 28 March 1928 and was buried in the Victoria Road Cemetery in Portslade.  In 1905 he was a bootmaker and in 1907 he was a shoemaker living at 14 East Street, Portslade.

Annie Maria Bloomfield was born in Walingworth, Suffolk and baptised on 25 April 1869 in Stradbroke, Suffolk.  She was the daughter of Edward Bloomfield (c1835-?) and Maria (c1836-?).  She died on 3 March 1959 and was buried in the Victoria Road Cemetery, Portslade.

 

Harry Stredwick and Annie Maria Bloomfield had 6 known children:

  1. Ernest Henry Stredwick was born on 31 May 1895 and baptised on 7 March 1897 in Portslade.

  2. Rose Frances Stredwick was born on 18 January 1897 and baptised on 7 March 1897 in Portslade.

  3. Laura Stredwick was born on 10 November 1899 and baptised on 29 December 1905 in Portslade.  She died on 2 February 1973 and was buried in the Victoria Road Cemetery.  Laura married Clement Willard on 24 February 1919 in Portslade.  Clement was born on 14 March 1898 in Portslade and was the son of William Charles Willard (1866-1950) and Annie Back (1871-1935).

  4. Annie Stredwick was born on 31 December 1903 and baptised on 29 December 1905 in Portslade.

  5. Jack Stredwick was born on 10 June 1905 and baptised on 29 December 1905 in Portslade.

  6. Harry Stredwick was born on 2 May 1907 and baptised on 7 July 1907 in Portslade.
