Please bear this in mind when you contact me, as I can not always remember what I've said where.  It would be really helpful if you could tell me the page title or URL you are contacting me about.

Family History is my hobby.  I am not a professional genealogist.

William STONEHAM (c1700-?)

and Elizabeth FORD (c1710-1737)

William Stoneham and Elizabeth Ford married on 16 August 1730 in Ninfield, Sussex.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

William Stoneham may have been baptised at the age of 24 years on 27 July 1724 in Hollington, Sussex.  Unfortunately the parish register did not record the names of his parents.  He may have been buried on 11 October 1740 in Hooe, but the burial register only records that William Stoneham was buried.

Elizabeth Ford's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  She was buried on 12 January 1736/7 in Hooe and the burial register recorded that she was the wife of William Stoneham.

William Stoneham and Elizabeth Ford had 3 known children:

  1. John Ford Stoneham was baptised on 13 June 1731 in Hooe, Sussex

  2. William Stoneham was baptised on 24 June 1733 in Hooe.

  3. Thomas Stoneham was baptised on 11 January 1735/6 in Hooe.

I have no known connection to the above family and have included them in these pages simply because my 7x Great Grandfather, Thomas Stoneham, married in Hollington in 1712.  Thomas named his second son William.  Could this imply there was a link between "my" Thomas and the above William?
