John STEEL (1747-?)

and Frances PANNETT (1754-?)

 

John Steel and Frances Pannett married on 27 April 1774 in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex.  (They were not my direct ancestors.  John was the brother of my 6x great grandmother, Elizabeth Steel.)

John Steel was baptised on 21 June 1747 in Newtimber, Sussex.  He was the son of John Steel (1707-1784) and Elizabeth Bartholomew (1713-1791).

Fanny Pannett was baptised on 2 March 1754 in Albourne, Sussex.  She was the daughter of William Pannett and Ann (possibly Ann Kid of Henfield who married William Pannet of Steyning on 23 October 1736 in Hamsey).

 

John Steel and Fanny Pannett had 3 known children:

  1. Ann Steel was baptised on 12 August 1775 in Hurstpierpoint.

  2. John Steele was baptised in August 1777 in Hurstpierpoint.  John married Mary Goodwin in 1796.  (They have their own page.)

  3. Elizabeth Steel was baptised on 11 July 1780 in Hurstpierpoint.
