Richard Stedman was baptised on 23 October 1764 in Balcombe,
Sussex. He was the son of
Richard may have been a witness to the 1788 marriage of Elizabeth’s
sister, Sarah and to the 1790 marriage of her sister Catherine.

and I think Richard's name was wrongly recorded. Mary died aged 1˝
years and was buried on 5 June 1799 in Ardingly.
