Silverston and Jenny Gearin
married by banns on 28
October 1776 in Patcham, Sussex. They were both then of Patcham and
both made their X marks. The witnesses to their marriage were Philey
Paine and Ann Silverson who both signed their names. They
were married by the Minister David Jenkins. John Sylvestone
next married Elizabeth Friend by banns on 2 March 1789 in Patcham.
They were both of Patcham and both made their X marks. The witnesses
to the marriage were James Lee and Thomas Simmons who both
signed their names. They were married by the Curate George Jackson.

John
Sylveston was baptised on 16
February 1751/2 in Albourne, Sussex. He was the son of
Richard Silverson
(1726-1791) and
Ann Tree (1722-1801). John died aged 60 years and was buried
in Patcham on 1 February 1813. The burial register records his name as
John Silverson.
Jenny Gearin's
date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me. Her name was
recorded as Jane against the baptisms of her first 3 daughters and
Jenny on the fourth. She may have been baptised as Jenny
Geering on 22 September 1751 in Keymer, Sussex and have been the daughter of
Henry Gerring and Elizabeth, or as Jane Geering on
25 August 1754 in Keymer, Sussex and have been the daughter of Thomas
Geering and Mary Alcock. Jenny was buried in Patcham on 18
February 1787 and the burial registered records that she was the wife of
John Siverstone.
Elizabeth
Friend's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.
She died aged 76 years and was buried on 24 February 1837 in Patcham.
The burial registered records her name as Elizabeth Silverson.

died age 59 years and was buried on 20 February 1857 in Patcham.
At John Silveston he married Susannah Barnard on 4 August
1834 in Brighton.
Suanna was baptised on 28 October 1804 in Brighton and was the daughter of
Henry Barnard and Susanna Piper. She died aged 77
years and her death was registered in the fourth quarter of 1881 in the
Brighton district.

Steyning registration district. She died aged 26 years and her
death was registered in the first quarter of 1870 in the Brighton
registration district.

was born on 16 March 1801 in Patcham and baptised on 25 July 1803 at St.
Nicholas in Brighton. He married

Silverston was born on 4 August 1804 and baptised at the Countess of
Huntingdon's Chapel in Brighton on 14 October 1804. He was a witness
to the marriage of his brother Nathan on 1 January 1827, at which
time he was unable to sign his name. Thomas died aged 33 years and
was buried on 18 January 1838 in Patcham.

Silverson was born on 18 March 1807 and baptised on 26 April 1807 at
the Countess of Huntingdon's Chapel in Brighton. She was buried on 8
April 1808 in Patcham and the burial register records her name as
Barbara Silverstone.
