Henry Setford and Emma Shorter married in the fourth quarter
of 1846 in the Tonbridge, Kent registration district.
Henry Setford was born about 1812 in Rusper, Sussex. He was
most probably the son of
David Setford
(1774-1851) and
Jane Hastings (c1779-1826). He died aged 71 years in the
fourth quarter of 1883 in the Poplar, London registration district.
Emma Shorter was born about 1817-9 in Trosley, Kent. She died
aged 71 years in the third quarter of 1888 in the Poplar district.
At the time of the 1861 census the family were living at 3 Upper Ann Street,
David's Cottages in Plumstead and their surname was recorded as Scotford.
When the 1881 census was recorded the couple were living at 3 Walter Court
in London and Henry was a general labourer.

recorded. She may have married in the third quarter of 1865 in the
North Aylesford registration district.
