and Ann LANGLEY (1702-1732)

and Elizabeth HEATHER (1711-1785)

William Scutt and Ann Langley married on 6 October 1728 in Billingshurst, Sussex.  They were both then of Billingshurst.  William next married Elizabeth Heather on 1 May 1734 in Wiggonholt, Sussex.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

William Scutt's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He was buried on 20 January 1773 in Billingshurst, Sussex.  Might he have been baptised on 31 January 1693/4 in West Chiltington, Sussex, the son of John Scutt?

Ann Langley's was baptised on 9 April 1702 in Billingshurst.  She was the daughter of William Langley and Elizabeth Simons.  At the time of her baptism her father was a husbandman.  She was buried on 24 February 1731/2 in Billingshurst and the burial register noted that she was the wife of William Scutt.

Elizabeth Heather was baptised on 27 July 1711 in West Chiltington, Sussex.  She was the daughter of Thomas Heather and Ann Edmonds.  Elizabeth died in the poorhouse and was buried on 16 June 1785 in Billingshurst.
