Hannah Scutt who married
Richard Norris
in Billingshurst, Sussex in 1790. She was also born there in 1769 and
was the daughter of
Thomas Scutt and
Hannah Miriam.
Thomas was baptised in West Chiltingon, Sussex in 1726 and was the son of
Thomas Scutt and
Avis Wood.
But what of Thomas senior? He was most probably born in 1692, but
there were 2 possible baptisms: 1 in West Chiltington the son of
John Scutt and
Joan Shaw and another in Pulborough the son of
Thomas Scutt and
Avis Searle, which I
think is most likely.
