Thomas Sawyer and Anne Box married by
banns on 8 March 1779 in Ardingly, Sussex. Thomas was then of Ticehurst,
Sussex. (They were not my direct ancestors. Anne was the niece
of my 5x Great Grandfather,
John Box.)
Thomas Sayer was
baptised on 4 September 1748 in Ticehurst, Sussex. He was the son of
John Sawyers and Susannah Elphick.
Anne Box
was born on 7 August 1752 and baptised on
30 August 1752 in Ardingly. She was the daughter of
George Box (1723-1801)
and Judith White
(1722-1802).
