John RESTALL
(c1720-1784)
and Elizabeth FAICHEN (c1725-1802)

John Restall and Elizabeth Faichen
may have been my 6x Great Grandparents. (Click
here to see their
possible place in my pedigree chart.) They married on 16 April 1746 in
Bepton, Sussex.
John Restall's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown,
to me. He may have been buried on 17 March 1785 in Trotton, Sussex.
The burial register noted that he was a farmer. It would seem his son
was described as John, junior in 1780. On 6 August 1764 he may have
been mentioned in a document as a victualler of Cocking. Another
John Restall was buried in Trotton on 10 May 1773 and he
left a will which was proved at Chichester.
Elizabeth Faichen's date and place of birth/baptism are
unknown, to me. As Elizabeth Rustall, widow of Bepton,
she may have married William Talbott, widower of Cocking,
on 24 July 1789 in Cocking, Sussex. She may have been buried on 20
November 1811 in Trotton, as Elizabeth wife of
William Talbot.
John Restall
and Elizabeth Faichen had 3 known children:
-
Elizabeth Restel was baptised on 5 January 1747 in Bepton.
-
Mary Restol was baptised on 14 May 1751 in Iping, Sussex.
-
John Rustal
was baptised on 8 June 1759 in Cocking, Sussex. He married twice,
firstly to Jane Jermain
in 1779 and then to Sarah. (They have their own
page.)
