John REEVE
(1671-1748)
and Ann GARDINER (c1675-1727)

John Reve and Ann Gardiner were my 8x Great Grandparents.
their place in my pedigree chart.)
They married on 23 April 1696 in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex.
John Reeve was baptised on 17 October 1671 in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex,
as John Reaue. He was the son of
William Reeve
(c1635-1690) and most probably
Sarah Geale
(1637-1713). John died aged 77 years and was buried on 24 June
1748 in West Grinstead, Sussex.
Ann Gardiner's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.
She was buried on 26 July 1727 in West Grinstead. (The date of her
burial comes from a transcript of the West Grinstead registers which state
that Ann was the daughter of John. However, the original register has
been checked and that records that she was the wife of John, although the
exact date could not be read - thanks to Kevin Reeves for this data.)

(This marriage appears in the Sussex Family History Group's marriage index
but not in a transcript of the West Grinstead marriage register.).
