and Joan STAPLE (?-1617)

 

 

Thomas Peirse and Joan Staple married on 3 February 1601/2 in Newick.

Thomas Peirse was buried on 23 August 1618 in Newick.  I would guess he was born before 1580.

Joan wife of Thomas Pierse was buried on 17 July 1617 in Newick.

 

Thomas Peirse and Joan Staple had 4 known children:

  1. Mary Peirse was baptised on 24 February 1601/2 in Newick.  The baptism register noted that she was born in Barcombe.  A Mary Peirse was buried on 19 September 1623 in Newick.  No further details were given in the burial register.  There was a Mary wife of Stephen Peerse who had married in Newick in 1617.

  2. William Peirse was baptised on 4 March 1603/4 in Newick.  The baptism register noted that he was born in Barcombe.

  3. Thomas Perse was baptised on 26 April 1607 in Newick.  He was born in Barcombe.

  4. Stephen Pearse was baptised on 14 April 1611 in Newick.  As Stephen Peirce he may have married Agnes Ward on 28 April 1635 in Newick.  Agnes was a widow and they were both of Newick.

 

 

Constance Pears married John Chantler on 7 February 1569/70 in Newick.

Thomas Pierse married Joan Crowcher on 10 June 1571 in Newick.

Mary Pierse was baptised on 28 August 1575 in Newick, the daughter of Thomas or William.

Matthew Pierse was baptised on 22 September 1577 in Newick, the son of Thomas.  He was buried on 9 May 1587 in Newick.  The burial register noted that he was the son of Thomas Pierse, junior.

Thomas Pierse was baptised on 29 September 1577 in Newick, the son of William.

Joan Pierse was baptised on 8 November 1579 in Newick, the daughter of Thomas.

Margaret Pierse was baptised on 25 February 1581/2 in Newick, the daughter of Thomas junior.  She was buried on 9 December 1582 in Newick and the burial register noted that she was the daughter of Thomas Pierse.

Seth Pierse was baptised on  6 May 1582 in Newick, the son of Thomas.

Mary Pierse was baptised on 28 March 1684 in Newick, the daughter of William.

Alice Pierse was baptised on 9 August 1684 in Newick, the daughter of Thomas.

The Newick baptism register from 1585-90 is missing.

Joan Pierse was baptised on 11 July 1591 in Newick, the daughter of Thomas.

Agnes Pierse was baptised on 24 September 1592 in Newick, the daughter of William.

Richard Pierse was baptised on 9 February 1594/5 in Newick, the son of William.

Thomas Pierse was buried on 16 July 1597 in Newick.

Edward Pearse was buried on 23 February 1611/2 in Newick.

Elizabeth Peirse married Abraham Seaman on 6 July 1613 in Newick.

William Peirce was buried on 16 February 1615/6 in Newick.

Margaret Peirse married George Ellis on 28 April 1616 in Newick.  She was of Newick and he of Fletching.

Widow Pierse was buried on 23 or 28 November 1616 in Newick.

Richard Peirse was buried on 15 September 1622 in Newick.
