Stephen PIERCE (1626-1700)

and Elizabeth STREATFIELD (1633-1697)

 

Stephen Pierce and Elizabeth Streatfield married on 15 May 1654 in Fletching, Sussex.  He was then from Newick.

Stephen Peirse may have been baptised on 14 or 15 November 1626 in Newick and have been the son of Stephen Peerse (c1590-1648) and possibly Elizabeth Embere (?-1626).  He may have been buried on 23 May 1700 in Newick as Stephen Pierce.

Elizabeth Stretfield was baptised on 22 September 1633 in Fletching.  She was the daughter of Thomas Stretfield and Mary.  She was buried on 1 October 1697 in Newick as Elizabeth wife of Stephen Pierce.

 

Stephen Peirse and Elizabeth Streatfield had the following children:

  1. Ann Peirse was baptised on 23 November 1660 in Newick.

  2. John Peirse was baptised on 10 June 1664 in Newick.

  3. Eleanor Peirse was baptised on 27 January 1666/7 in Newick.

    Eleanor married Nicholas Poumfory on 5 October 1690 in Newick.

Did they also have a son named Stephen Pierce who married Jane Turner in 1683.  (They have their own page.)
