John PEARCE (?-?)

and Hannah JENNER (1716-1798)

 

John Pearce and Hannah Jenner married on 31 March 1741 in Plumpton, Sussex.  Hannah was then from Newick, Sussex.

John Pearce's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He may have been buried as John Pearce on 13 September 1784 in Newick.

Hannah Jenner may  have been baptised on 3 June 1716 in Lindfield, Sussex and have been the daughter of John Jenner and Ann.  She was buried as Hannah Pearce on 2 October 1798 in Newick.

 

John Pearce and Hannah Jenner had 6 known children:

  1. Richard Pearce was baptised on 20 December 1741 in Newick.  Another Richard Pearce was baptised in nearby Fletching in 1740.

  2. Hannah Pearce was baptised on 11 March 1744 in Newick.

  3. John Pearce was baptised on 23 March 1746 in Newick.  He married Susanna Roser in 1770.  (They have their own page.)

  4. Sarah Pearce was baptised on 25 December 1748 in Newick.  Another Sarah Pearce was baptised in Newick in 1745.  One of them may have married John Wood by banns on 12 November 1772 in Fletching.  John was from Uckfield.

  5. Jane Pearce was baptised on 9 June 1751 in Newick.

  6. Thomas Pearce was baptised on 13 November 1757 in Newick.
