and Elizabeth EVES (?-1679)

 

John Pierce and Elizabeth Eves married on 1 October 1650 in Newick, Sussex.  He was then of Newick and she of Buxted.

John Pierce's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me, although I would guess he was born in the 1620's.  He may have been buried on  9 November 1682 in Newick as John Peirse.

Elizabeth wife of John Peirse was buried on 27 August 1679 in Newick.

 

John Pierce and Elizabeth Eves had 4 known children:

  1. Elizabeth Peirse was baptised on 3 August 1651 in Newick.

  2. John Peirse was baptised on 14 November 1652 in Newick.

    As John Peirce he may have married Ann Cooper by licence on 18 April 1682 in Hamsey, Sussex.

    John and Anne had the following children:

    1. John Peirse was baptised on 11 October 1683 in Newick.

    2. Stephen Peirse was baptised on 11 December 1684 in Newick.

    3. Thomas Peirse was baptised on 11 March 1686/7 in Newick.

    4. Elizabeth Peirse was baptised on 7 July 1690 in Newick.

    5. Anna Pierce was baptised on 7 September 1697 in Newick.

  3. Stephen Peirce was baptised on 31 December 1655 in Newick.  Did he marry Jane Turner in 1683?

  4. Mary Peirse was baptised on 5 August 1657 in Newick.  Did she marry Thomas Sherry on 28 September 1680 in Newick?

 

 

William Pearce and Ann Saunders married by licence on 31 May 1681 in Iford, Sussex.  They were both of Newick.  Their marriage licence was issued on the same day by the Archdeaconry of Lewes.

William Peirse and Anne had the following child:

  1. William Peirse was baptised on 2 July 1682 in Newick.

 

Ann wife of William Peirse was buried on 23 February 1681/2 in Newick.  (Could the year have been 1682/3?)

William Peirse was buried on 28 May 1690 in Newick.

Ann Peirce, a widow of Newick and Henry Penticost of Chailey, were issued a marriage licence on 5 February 1691/2 by the Archdeaconry of Lewes.

  2. Richard Pierce was baptised on 16 July 1693 in Newick.

  3. Thomas Pierce was baptised on 22 March 1695/6 in Newick.

  5. Joseph Pierce was baptised on 2 September 1702 in Newick.

  6. Paul Pierce was baptised on 13 May 1705 in Newick.

  7. Samuel Pierce was baptised on 28 January 1708/9 in Newick.

 

Thomas Pierce had the following child:

  1. William Pierce was baptised on 22 March 1688/9 in Newick.

 

Thomas Pierce and Mary had the following child:

  1. Mary Pierce was baptised on 18 February 1712/3 in Newick.

  2. Elizabeth Pierce was baptised on 15 May 1715 in Newick.

  3. Thomas Pierce was baptised on 31 March 1717 in Newick.

  4. Sarah Pierce was baptised on 7 November 1725 in Newick.

  5. Ann Pearce was born about 1728 and baptised aged 8 years on 11 April 1736 in Newick.
