William NYE (c1700-?)

and Martha POPE (c1700-1752)

 

William Nye and Martha Pop married on 8 June 1721 in Warnham, Sussex.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

William Nye's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Martha Pope's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  Martha left a will dated 17 July 1746, at which time she was a widow of Horsham.  Her will was proved on 5 January 1753/4.  She was buried on 16 July 1752 in Horsham, Sussex.  The burial register recorded that she was a widow.

 

William Nye and Martha Pope had 4 known children:

  1. William Nye was baptised on 18 April 1722 in Slinfold.

  2. John Nye was baptised on 24 October 1723 in Slinfold, Sussex.  He was mentioned in his mother's will.

  3. Thomas Nye was baptised on 17 March 1725/6 in Slinfold.  He was mentioned in his mother's will.

  4. Martha Nye was baptised on 6 October 1730 in Slinfold. was mentioned in her mother's will.
