Thomas NYE (c1660-1732)

and Elizabeth (?-1732)

 

Thomas Nye and Elizabeth may have married before of about 1703.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

Thomas Nye's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  Thomas left a will dated 20 September 1732 and proved on 14 December 1732.  He was buried on 5 November 1732 in Horsham, Sussex.  It was noted in the burial register that he was a householder.

Elizabeth's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  The Horsham burial register records that the wife of Thomas Nye, householder, was buried on 20 September 1732.

 

Thomas Nye and Elizabeth had 4 known children:

  1. John Nye was baptised on 29 September 1690 in Horsham.  The Horsham burial register records that an unnamed Nye child was buried on 9 December 1693 and another on 27 November 1694.

  2. Thomas Nye was baptised on 3 April 1696 in Horsham.

    Thomas married Eleanor Dale on 6 June 1725 in Horsham.  She was then a spinster.

    Elener Nye, wife of Thomas a householder, was buried on 3 April 1726 in Horsham.

    Thomas and Eleanor had the following child:

    1. Thomas Nye was baptised on 3 April 1726 in Horsham.  He may have married Mary Cooper on 10 July 1748 in Horsham.  Mary was a spinster.

  3. John Nye was baptised on 8 September 1699 in Horsham.

    John married Bridget.

    John and Bridget had the following child:

    1. Ann Nye was baptised on 22 February 1731/2 in Horsham.

  4. Eve Nye was baptised on 3 November 1704 in Horsham.

    Eve married Bryan Chasmore on 29 May 1725 in Headley, Surrey.
