Richard NYE
(1748-?)
and Elizabeth BONIFACE (c1750-?)

Richard Nye and Elizabeth Boniface married on 11 August 1776
in Horsham, Sussex. He was then a husbandman and bachelor of Henfield
and she was a spinster of Henfield. (They were not my direct
ancestors.)
Richard Nye was born on 19 June 1748 and baptised on 3 July 1748 in
Henfield, Sussex. He was the son of
Richard Nye
and Mary
Broomham. The Henfield burial register records that a
Richard Nye was buried on 24 June 1794, but only the name was recorded
and nothing helpful to identify which Richard was buried.
Elizabeth Boniface's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to
me.
Richard
Nye and Elizabeth Boniface had 8 known children:
-
Phebe Nye
was privately baptised as she was in peril of death on 16 September 1778
in Henfield. She was received into the church on 18 October 1778.
-
Martha Nye was baptised 31 December 1780 in Henfield. She
married
William Lelliott in 1803. (They have their own page.)
-
James Nye
was baptised on 2 March 1783 in Henfield.
-
George Nye
was baptised on 13 March 1785 in Henfield. It was noted in the
baptised register that his parents were paupers and thus exempt from
paying the baptism fee.
-
Frances Nye
was baptised on 16 July 1787 in Henfield. It was noted that her
parents were paupers and unable to pay the baptism fee. She married
William Lelliot in 1810. (They have their own
page.)
-
Richard Nye
was baptised on 9 May 1790 in Henfield. His parents were unable to
pay the baptism fee.
-
Noah Nye
was baptised on 21 April 1793 in Henfield. His parents were able to
pay the 3d baptism fee.
-
Barbary Nye
was baptised on 20 March 1795 in Henfield.
