Lewes, Sussex. They were both then of the parish.
William Newnham was baptised on 12 September 1790 in
Wivelsfield, Sussex. He was the son of
(1768-?) and Sarah Egar.
Catherine Chandler was baptised on 21 September 1796 in
Burwash, Sussex. She was the daughter of John Chandler
and Catherine Westover (1772-1844).
When the 1851 census was recorded the couple and their youngest daughter
were living in Haywards Heath, Sussex. William was then a 61 year old
agricultural and Catherine was 55.

Mercy Newnham was baptised on 20 August 1823 in

Edward Newnham was baptised on 1 February 1835 in
Wivelsfield. In 1851 he was a 16 year old servant and errand boy
living in the home of John Agers Wicheloe at Birch
Green in Wivelsfield.
Jesse Newnham was baptised on
16 July 1837 in Wivelsfield.
Jesse married Sophia James on 16 March 1861 in Lewes.
Sophia was baptised on 22 June 1834 at St. Michael's in Lewes and was the
daughter of Thomas James and Lucy Breads.
She died on 14 April 1911 in Bexhill.

Helen Rose Newnham was
born in the fourth quarter of 1873 in St. Leonards, Sussex. Helen
Ebenezer Warburton in 1903. Ebenezer was born in the
second quarter of 1879 in Buxted and was the son of
Ebenezer Warburton (1846-1929) and
Harriet Elizabeth Heaver (1849-?).
Maria Newnham was baptised on 16 June 1839 in
Wivelsfield. At the time of the 1851 census she was 11 years old.
