Thomas NEWNHAM (1770-?)

and Elizabeth BOX (1762-1795)

 

Thomas Newnham and Elizabeth Box married by banns on 12 April 1791 in Ardingly, Sussex.  After Elizabeth's death, Thomas Newnham, widower, married Elizabeth Betts by banns on 1 December 1799 in Ardingly.  (They were not my direct ancestors.  Elizabeth Box was the niece of my 5x Great Grandfather, John Box.)

Thomas Newnham was born on 30 March 1770 and baptised on 15 April 1770 in Ardingly.  He was the son Thomas Newnham (1741-1797) and Margaret Mascall (1746-1795).

Elizabeth Box was born on 20 April 1762 and baptised on 2 May 1762 in Ardingly.  She was the daughter of George Box (1723-1801) and Judith White (1722-1802).  She died aged 33 years and was buried on 9 July 1795 in Ardingly.

 

Thomas Newnham and Elizabeth Box had 3 known children: 

  1. Thomas Newnham Box was born on 10 December 1790 and baptised on 26 December 1790 in Ardingly.  He was buried there on 28 March 1792.

  2. Ann Newnham was born on 28 February 1793 and baptised on 1 March 1793 in Ardingly.

  3. Mary Newnham was born and baptised on 21 June 1795 in Ardingly and buried there on 9 July 1795 aged 16 days.
