Thomas NEEVE (c1690-1757)

and Jane HODGES (c1680-1721)

and Ann BLAND (?-?)

 

Thomas Neeves and Jane Hodges married by banns on 24 September 1719 in Botolphs, Sussex.  He was then of Beeding and she of Bramber.  Thomas next married Ann Bland by banns on 1 February 1721/2 in Botolphs.  She was then of Bramber.

Thomas Neeves date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Jane Hodges's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  She was buried on 6 April 1721 in Bramber and burial register records that she was the wife of Thomas Neeves.  As Jane Benton, widow she had previously married Thomas Hodges on 27 March 1707 at All Saints in Lewes, Sussex.  He was then of Beeding and she of Bramber.  Thomas Hodges was buried on 3 September 1718 in Bramber.  Previously as Jane Caplen she had married Edward Benton on 15 June 1703 in Bramber.  Edward was buried there on 14 November 1705.

Ann Bland's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

 

Thomas Neeves and Jane Hodges had  1 known child:

  1. Thomas Neeves was baptised on 4 January 1721 in Bramber, Sussex.

    Thomas may have married Mary Bishop by licence on 23 April 1742 in Shermanbury, Sussex.  Their marriage licence was issued on 19 April 1742 by the Archdeaconry of Chichester which recorded that Thomas was a bachelor and mercer and Mary a spinster and that they were both of Lancing, Sussex.

 

Thomas Neeves and Ann Bland had 2 known children:

  1. Anne Neeves was baptised on 21 July 1723 in Bramber.

  2. John Nefe was baptised on 2 June 1728 in Bramber.

 

Did Thomas also have a daughter named Mary Neeve who married Thomas Woolven in 1744?  (They have their own page.)
