Richard MITCHELL (c1710-?)

and Mary JENNER (c1710-?)

 

Richard Mitchell and Mary Jenner may have been my 6x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their place in my pedigree chart.)  They married on 11 April 1732 in Cuckfield, Sussex.  His name was then spelt Richard Michael.

Richard Mitchell’s date and place of birth are unknown, to me.

Mary Jenner’s date and place of birth are unknown.  Although she may have been baptised on 7 October 1711 in Lindfield, Sussex as the daughter of Francis Jenner and Ann.

 

Richard Mitchell and Mary Jenner had 1 known child:

  1. Elizabeth Mitchell, my possibly 5x Great Grandmother, was baptised on 17 August 1735 in Cuckfield.  She married John Tullett in 1760.  (They have their own page.)  Another Elizabeth Mitchell married Stephen Comber in 1758.

 

There may have been other children from this marriage - I still have much more to do on them.

 

 

John Mitchell and Mary Terry married on 20 April 1731 in Hurstpierpoint.

Mary may have been baptised on 10 February 1705 in Hurstpierpoint, the daughter of John Terry and Margaret Hills who married on 26 April 1696 in Cuckfield.

John and Mary had the following children:

  1. John Mitchell was baptised on 15 November 1732 in Hurstpierpoint.

  2. Henry Mitchell was baptised on 25 December 1734 in Hurstpierpoint.

  3. Thomas Mitchell was baptised on 16 April 1736 in Hurstpierpoint.

  4. James Mitchell was baptised on 18 April 1744 in Hurstpierpoint.

  5. Isaac Mitchell was baptised on 31 August 1746 in Hurstpierpoint.

  6. Charles Mitchell was baptised on 11 April 1750 in Hurstpierpoint.

 

John Mitchell and Mary married before 1723.

John and Mary had the following children:

  1. John Michel was baptised on 27 December 1723 in Cuckfield.

  2. Mary Mitchel was baptised on 17 March 1731 in Cuckfield

  3. Mary Mitchel was baptised on 19 April 1732 in Cuckfield.

  4. Elizabeth Mitchel was baptised on 8 April 1736 in Cuckfield.

  5. John Mitchell was baptised on 19 May 1745 in Cuckfield.

 

John Mitchel and Mary Richardson married on 17 April 1724 or 1725 in Twineham.

John and Mary had the following children:

  1. Mary Mitchell was baptised on 27 August 1727 in Albourne.

  2. Henry Mitchell was baptised on 19 July 1730 in Albourne.

  3. Thomas Mitchell was baptised on 19 January 1735 in Albourne.

  4. Edward Mitchell was baptised on 26 December 1739 in Albourne.

 

John Mitchell and Mary Prouse married on 3 May 1716 in Ashurst.

John and Mary had the following children:

  1. John Mitchell was baptised on 25 July 1716 and/or 28 July 1717 in West Grinstead.

  2. Mary Mitchell was baptised on 22 January 1718 in West Grinstead.

  3. Edward Mitchell was baptised on 9 December 1720 in West Grinstead.

  4. William Mitchell was baptised on 26 December 1722 in Ashurst.

  5. Thomas Mitchell was baptised on 17 May 1723 in West Grinstead.

  6. Elizabeth Mitchell was a baptised on 10 August 1728 in West Grinstead.
