Richard LINDFIELD (c1750-1791)

and Elizabeth STEERE (?-?)

Richard Linfield and Elizabeth Steere married by licence on 22 October 1777 in Ashurst, Sussex.  He was a bachelor and she a spinster and they were both of Ashurst.  The witnesses to their marriage were James Hoper and Thomas Muzzall.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

Richard Lindfield's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He may have been buried on 1 March 1791 in Ashurst.  The burial register noted that he was a pauper.

Elizabeth Steere's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  As The Widow Lindfield she may have been buried on 16 April 1811 in West Grinstead, Sussex.
