Lower Bridge Street, Married Soldiers Quarter in Chester. Her husband
was then on guard. Her place of birth was then given as Scotland.
When the 1881 census was recorded the family were living in Chichester
Barracks in Chichester, Sussex. George was then a Colour Sergeant with
the Royal Sussex Militia. By 1891 the family had moved to 1 Olden
Terrace in Oving Road, Oving, Sussex and George was a 48 year old retired
soldier. Lydia was then a 39 year old laundress. Lydia was a 49
year old widow when the 1901 census was recorded and she was living on her
own means at 83 Grove Road in Rumboldswhyke, Chichester. Her 2
youngest sons were also living with her at that time.

Liverpool, Lancashire. He died aged 18 years on 31 May 1916.
He was then an Able Seaman on board HMS Queen Mary, service number
J/20278. His parents were then living at 32 Salisbury Road in
Dover, Kent.

1879 in Chichester. In 1881 he was 2 years old. He was a 12
year old scholar in 1891. When the 1901 census was recorded he was
an unmarried 22 year old Corporal in the Lancaster Regiment and he was
then visiting the home of 63 year old
Henry Lelliott and his 62 year old wife, Louisa Lelliott at
4 New Street in Worthing.
Lancaster married Katherine Jones on 27 July 1907 in Portsea.
He was then a 28 year old seaman of HMS Fisgard. Katheine was 29
years old and living at 74 Sultan Road, Landport, Portsmouth Their
fathers were named as George Benjamin Lelliott a pensioner and
William Jones a pickle manufacturer. The witnesses to their
marriage were Annie Morris and Harry Leonard Gray.

10 year old scholar in 1891. Herbert died in 1906 in Calcutta,

she was a 6 year old scholar. She died in 1916.

grocer's assistant. Frederick died on 25 May 1915. At the time
he was a Company Serjeant Major in the King's Own (Royal Lancaster
Regiment), 1st Battalion. His name is listed on panel 12 of the
Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. His service number was 8073.
Frederick married Alice Maud A. B.
Joplin in the first quarter of 1915 in the Portsmouth
registration district.
Alice was born in 1889 in Portsea, Hampshire and died in 1963.

Basil Lelliott was born about 1888 in Chichester. In 1881 he
was 3 years old. He was 13 years old when the 1901 census was
recorded. He died aged 27 years on 8 May 1915. At the time he
was a Lance Corporal in the King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment), 2nd
Battalion and husband of Elizabeth Ward (formerly
Lelliott) of 11 Vincent Villas, Albert Street, St.
Heliers, Jersey. His name is listed on panel 12 of the Ypres (Menin
Gate) Memorial. His service number was 10133.
Basil married Elizabeth Le Maistre Journeaux.
