Early LELLIOTT Families

The following is my attempt at rounding up the early Lelliott families in Sussex, sorry it's a bit of a jumble. It is not complete, as I know there is more I can add and hopefully still more to find. I've probably put some children with the wrong parents, but gradually I'll sift through them. Eventually I will give some of the families their own page.

Richard Lileatt had the following child:
1. Margaret Lileatt was baptised on 28 December 1538 in Stedham, Sussex, the daughter of Richard.
John Leylyatt married Julien Tuffe in 1543 in Birdham, Sussex. John had the following child:
1. Margareta Lilliet was born in 1545 in Birdham, the daughter of Johannis.
Robert Lylyott left to the chapell of Lydsey xijs. to have a Torch every Sonday and Hey Day for a year after his death, March 1544.
Elizabeth Lylliat married Richard Hartlie on 26 July 1556 in Yapton, Sussex.
Thomas Leliot married sometime before or about 1558 and possibly in or near Aldingbourne, Sussex.

Thomas had the following children:
1. William Leliot was baptised on 20 November 1558 in Aldingbourne, at which time his father Thomas was from Lydsey.
2. Thomas Leliet was baptised on 27 February 1560 in Aldingbourne. The baptism register notes that his father was Thomas junior and he was from Lydsey. As Thomas Leliot he may have married Alice Bridger on 14 October 1582 in Felpham.
3. Agnes Leliet was baptised on 27 February 1560 in Aldingbourne. The baptism register notes that her father was Thomas junior and he was from Lydsey.
4. Edward Leliet was baptised in October 1562 in Aldingbourne, at which time his father Thomas was from Lydsey.
5. William Leliet was baptised on 4 December 1563 in Aldingbourne and it was noted that his father Thomas was of Aldingbourne.
6. Joan Leliot was baptised on 16 March 1567/8 in Aldingbourne, and it was noted her father Thomas was from Lydsey.
Alice Laliet married Henry Truslow of Lydsey on 22 June 1559 in Aldingbourne.
Alice Leliet married John Chersam on 12 October 1560 in Aldingbourne. She was then of that parish.
Robert Leliet married Elizabeth Feilder on 20 January 1561/2 in Aldingbourne. He was then of Lydsey.
Robert Lilliat son of [blank] from Aldingbourne, was buried on 20 January 1566/7 in Eastergate.
Henry Leliet married Joanna James on 7 June 1562 in Aldingbourne. He was then of Lydsey. They had the following children:
1. Joan Leliet was baptised on 10 April 1564 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of Henry.
2. Robert Leliot was baptised on 17 January 1570/1 in Aldingbourne, at which time his father Henry was from Lydsey.
Katherine Leliet married Richard Knyght on 20 June 1565 in Aldingbourne.
John Leliet had the following children:
1. Joan Leliet may have been part of this family she was baptised in Aldingbourne towards the end of 1562. Neither of her parents were named in the baptism register.
2. An infant Leliet was baptised on 24 January 1567/8 in Aldingbourne, the child of father John from Lydsey.
3. Katherine Leliot was baptised on 3 May 1570 in Aldingbourne and it was noted her father John was from Lydsey.
John Lilliat married Dorothy Beard on 23 July 1565 in Oving, Sussex. She was then a widow. As John Lylliott he may then have married Joan Tylle on 17 June 1566 in South Bersted, Sussex. John had the following children:
1. Thomas Lylliott was baptised on 3 August 1567 in South Bersted, the son of John and Jone.
2. John Lylliott was baptised on 30 October 1569 in South Bersted, the son of John and Jone.
3. Jone Lylliott was baptised on 28 October 1570 in South Bersted, the daughter of John and Jone.
4. Jone Lylliott was baptised on 6 November 1575 in South Bersted, the daughter of John and Jone.
5. Alice Lylliott was baptised on 25 July 1576 in South Bersted, the daughter of John and Agnes.
6. John Lylliott was baptised on 5 October 1578 in South Bersted, the son of John and Agnes.
7. Joane Lylliott was baptised on 14 February 1579 in South Bersted, the daughter of John and Jone.
8. Thomas Lylliott was baptised on 12 November 1584 in South Bersted, the son of John and Agnes.
Elizabeth Leliet married Thomas Smyth on 20 May 1571 in Aldingbourne.
Edward Leliot had the following children:
1. William Leliot was baptised on 4 January 1571/2 in Aldingbourne, the son of Edward from Lydsey.
2. Joan Leliot was baptised on 17 December 1575 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of Edward from Lydsey.
3. John Leliot was baptised on 6 August 1581 in Aldingbourne, the son of Edward.
4. Joan Leliot was baptised on 10 September 1583 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of Edward from Lydsey.
5. Richard Leliot was baptised on 25 April 1588 in Aldingbourne, the son of Edward from Lydsey.
Margaret Leliet married William Rickman on 23 July 1571 in Aldingbourne.
Arnolde Delatour was buried on 2 October 1588 at All Saints, Chichester. The burial register noted that he was a surgeon. (I have picked up Arnold and family from a transcript of the All Saints registers. I just wondered if Leclott was a miss transcription of Lelliott.)

Arnold Delaclott married Catherine Wigthorpe on 23 November 1567 at All Saints, Chichester.

Arnold had the following children:
1. Elizabeth Leclott was baptised on 30 August 1572 at All Saints, Chichester.
2. Frances Leclott was baptised on 3 December 1574 at All Saints, Chichester. Francis son of Arnold Dellator was buried on 14 January 1575/6 at All Saints.
3. John Delattour was baptised on 23 February 1576/7 at All Saints, Chichester. As John Leclott he was buried on 7 May 1852 at All Saints, Chichester. The burial register noted that he was the son of Arnold Leclott.
4. Edward Delate was baptised on 17 April 1580 at All Saints, Chichester.
5. Elizabeth Aclott was baptised on 16 June 1586 at All Saints, Chichester.
Elizabeth Lylliott married Richard Davye on 4 February 1571/2 in South Bersted.
Thomas Lylyott married Alice Gawen on 21 July 1572 in Climping, Sussex. They had the following children:
1. Alice Leliot was baptised on 25 October 1584 in Felpham, the daughter of Thomas and Alice. Her godparents were Thomas Gawine, Sibill Gilbanks and Parnell Allington.
2. Thomas Leliat was baptised on 12 September 1587 in Felpham, the son of Thomas and Alice. His godparents were Thomas Borden, Thomas Graie and Joan Gawine.
3. Richard Leliot was baptised on 24 January 1589/90 in Felpham, the son of Thomas and Alice. His godparents were Richard Knight, William Leliot and Christian Leliot.
4. Agnes Leliot was baptised on 21 April 1594 in Felpham, the daughter of Thomas and Alice. Her godparents were Agnes Monerie, Agnes Reade and Peter Arnold.
5. John Leliot was baptised on 16 March 1596/7 in Felpham, the son of Thomas and Alice. His godparents were Thomas Brabie, Richard Leliot and Helen Irishe.
6. Richard Leliot was baptised on 3 February 1599/1600 in Felpham, the son of Thomas and Alice. His godparents were Richard Leache, Thomas Wiat from Ancleton and Lettuce Wildes.
John Lylliott married Alice Stamer on 22 September 1575 in South Bersted. He may also have married Alice Challen on 7 November 1575 in South Bersted. John may have had the following children:
1. Rychard Lylliott was baptised on 16 November 1582 in South Bersted, the son of John and Agnes.
2. Agnes Lylliott was baptised on 12 October 1587 in South Bersted, the daughter of John and Agnes.
Richard Leliot had the following children:
1. John Leliot was baptised on 5 January 1577/8 in Aldingbourne, the son of Richard.
2. Margery Elyote was batpised on 22 May 1580 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of Richard from Lydsey.
3. Alice Leliot was baptised on 21 July 1583 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of Richard from Lydsey.
Christian Leliet (female) had the following child:
1. Richard Leliet was baptised on 28 August 1578 in Aldingbourne, the baseborn son of Christian.
Alice Lilliott married John Fortune on 1 December 1578 in South Bersted. (Might she have been a widow?)
Robert Leliot had the following children:
1. John Leliot was baptised on 20 July 1579 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert.
2. John Liliet was baptised on 27 May 1582 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert.
Thomas Leliot and Alice Bridger married on 14 October 1582 in Felpham. (They have their own page.)
Gulian Lylliott married [blank] Myles on 23 May 1585 in South Bersted.
Richard Lylliott married Constance Farnden on 24 October 1585 in South Bersted. The had the following child:
1. John Lylliott was baptised on 27 February 1585/6 in South Bersted, the son of John or Richard and Constance.
Margaret Leliet married Thomas Hasted of Boxgrove on 6 July 1589 in Aldingbourne.
William Leliot was buried on 19 November 1591 in Felpham.
Joan Lyllyatt or Liliat married William Bynskyn or Birskin on 4 or 6 June 1592 in Lyminster, Sussex.
Thomas Lilliat married Elizabeth Poate, widow, on 10 February 1593/4 in Oving.

Thomas Lilliott was buried on 18 May 1613 in Oving.

Thomas had the following children:
1. Alice Lilliat was baptised on 1 January 1594 in Oving, the daughter of Thomas.
2. Peter Lilliat was baptised on 2 July 1596 in Oving, the son of Thomas. Peter Lilliot was buried on 8 June 1647 in Oving.
  
  Agnes wife of Peter Lilliot was buried on 7 May 1646 in Oving.
  
  Peter had the following children:
  1. George Lilliot was baptised on 20 February 1623/4 in Oving, the son of Peter. He was buried on 11 October 1646 in Oving and the burial register noted that George was the son of Peter Lilliot.
  2. Andrew Lilliot was baptised on 14 September 1628 in Oving, the son of Peter.
  3. Anne Lilliot was baptised on 21 April 1633 in Oving, the daughter of Peter. She was buried on 10 October 1639 in Oving and the burial register noted that Anne was the daughter of Peter Lilliott.
  4. Peter Lilliott was baptised on 29 May 1645 in Oving, the son of Peter.
  5. Henry Lilliot was buried on 4 May 1646 in Oving. The burial register noted that he was the son of Peter.
3. Katherin Lieliate was baptised on 22 April 1599 in Oving, the daughter of Thomas.
4. Thomas Lelyat was baptised on 6 July 1600 in Oving, the son of Thomas. Thomas Lelliott married Rose Winn on 20 July 1623 in Oving. Rose Lelliott married William Stemp on 25 February 1633/4 in Oving. Thomas had the following children:
  1. Mary Lilliot was baptised on 30 June 1624 in Oving, the daughter of Thomas.
5. Sara Liliot was baptised on 25 November 1604 in Oving, the daughter of Thomas. She was buried on 29 September 1611 in Oving and it was noted in the burial register that Sara was the daughter of Thomas Lilliott.
Ambrose Lilliatt was baptised on 7 April 1594 at St. Peter the Great or the Subdeanery of Chichester.
Thomas Lelyet married Joanna Burrie on 10 October 1594 in Aldingbourne. Thomas had the following child:
1. William Leliot was baptised on 10 March 1603/4 in Aldingbourne, the son of Thomas.
Joan Leliot was buried on 26 July 1596 in Felpham.
Robert Leliot married Agnes Reede on 16 October 1598 in Felpham, Sussex.

Robert and Agnes may have had the following children:
1. Elizabeth Leliet was baptised on 30 January 1596/7 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of Robert from Lydsey.
2. Katherine Leliot was baptised on 13 June 1599 in Felpham, the daughter of Robert and Agnes. One of her godparents was Katherine Knighte.
3. John Leliot was baptised on 18 January 1601 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert from Lydsey.
4. William Leliot was baptised on 20 February 1602/3 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert from Lydsey. He was buried in Aldingbourne on 28 February 1602/3.
5. Robert Leliot was baptised on 15 March 1604 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert from Lydsey.
6. William Leliot was baptised on 10 November 1606 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert from Lydsey.
7. Tobias Leliet was baptised on 16 August 1607 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert.
8. Robert Leliot was baptised on 10 May 1612 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert junior.
9. Alan Leliot was baptised on 17 May 1612 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert junior.
10. Joan Leliet was baptised on 21 May 1614 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of of Robert junior.
11. Joan Leliet was baptised on 20 October 1614 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of Robert from Lydsey.

Jane Leliet married Christopher Heming on 26 September 1599 in Aldingbourne.
William Leliet had the following child:
1. An infant was baptised on 9 March 1599 in Aldingbourne, the child of William from Lydsey.
John Leliot was buried on 13 May 1600 in Felpham.
John Lilliot married Grace Hellier on 17 October 1602 in Birdham.
John Leliot had the following children:

John Leliet was baptised on 30 November 1613 in Aldingbourne, the son of John.

Edward Leclott had the following child:
1. Joan Leclott was baptised on 4 March 1603/4 at St. Andrews, Chichester.
John Liliot had the following children:

Elizabeth Liliot was baptised on 1 January 1610 in South Bersted, the daughter of John.
Alice Liliot was baptised on 29 March 1612 in South Bersted, the daughter of John.

John Lilliat had the following children:
1. Elizabeth Lilliat married John Guy, the rector of St. Peters, by licence on 4 August 1629 at St. Pancras, Chichester, Sussex. She was said to have been the daughter of John Lilliat the rector of St. Pancras. John Guy and Elizabeth Lilliatt's marriage was also recorded in the marriage register of St. Peter the Less, Chichester.
2. Martha Lilliat was baptised on 15 December 1612 at St. Pancras, Chichester, the daughter of John.
3. Priscilla Lilliat was buried on 14 June 1616 at St. Pancras, Chichester. The burial register noted that she was the daughter of John.
John Lilliat was buried on 14 November 1629 at St. Peter the Great in Chichester. The burial register noted that he was Vicar Choral.
Alice Lilliot or Lilliott married Richard Huntingford or Huntingforde on 28 May 1605 in Westhampnett or 2 June 1605 in South Bersted.
Richard Lilliott married Joane. They had the following children:
1. John Lilliott was baptised on 1 February 1606 in South Bersted, the son of Richard and Joane.
2. Mary Lilliot was baptised on 19 December 1613 in South Bersted, the daughter of Richard.
3. Richard Lilliatt was baptised on 17 January 1616 in South Bersted, the son of Richard.
4. Elizabeth Lilliott was baptised on 29 November 1618 in South Bersted, the daughter of Richard.
5. Rose Lelliatt was baptised on 3 February 1627 in South Bersted, the daughter of Richard.
6. Richard Lilliatt was baptised on 13 February 1630 in South Bersted, the son of Richard.
Joan Leliet married John Page on 3 March 1605/6 in Aldingbourne. She was then of Aldingbourne and he of Felpham.
Richard Lelliott married Katherine Bartlett, widow on 17 November 1611 in Oving.

William Lilliatt married Alice Furlonger on 29 January 1614/5 in South Bersted.
Elizabeth Lelliot married Edward Mascall on 5 June 1615 in Oving.
John Lylliat married Agnes Allen on 9 June 1618 in Slindon, Sussex. John had the following child:
1. John Lylliatt was baptised on 26 July 1618 in Slindon.
Ann Liliet married John White on 12 January 1618/9 in Birdham.
Agnes Liliot married John Whit on 27 February 1618/9 in West Itchenor, Sussex.
Jone Lilliat had the following son:
1. John Lilliat was baptised on 10 December 1621 at St. Peter the Great or in the Subdeanery of Chichester and buried there on 4 February 1621/2.
John Lilliatt had the following children:
1. Agnes Lillatt was baptised on 27 May 1621 in South Bersted, the daughter of John. She was buried there on 17 September 1622.
2. Susana Lilliatt was baptised on 6 February 1624 in South Bersted, the daughter of John.
John Liliot was buried on 2 June 1621 in Yapton.
Henry Lilliat and Eleanor Coward married by licence on 16 December 1624 at St. Peter the Great in Chichester. Their marriage licence was issued on 15 December 1624 by the Deanery of Chichester, which noted that Eleanor was a widow of St. Peter the Great. His surname was spelt Lilliott in the marriage licence.
Cyprian Lilliat married Alice Sergeant on 12 June 1625 in Angmering.
Richard Liliatt married Elizabeth Picknoll on 29 September 1625 in Ringmer, Sussex. She was then of Ringmer.
John Lillyatt of Bersted married Ann Lillyatt widow of Bersted by licence dated 25 January 1625/6 in the Pagham and Tarring Peculiar. John and Ann had the following children:
1. Mary Lylliatt was baptised on 4 March 1631 in South Bersted, the daughter of John.
2. Jone Liliet was baptised on 28 June 1634 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of John and Ann from Lydsey.
3. Richard Liliet was baptised on 3 September 1637 in Aldingbourne, the son of John and Ann from Lydsey.
Thomas Lilliot married Ann Gower on 25 May 1626 in Udimore, Sussex.
John Lilliate married Christine Scarvell on 2 July 1628 in Boxgrove.
William Liliet married Mary Stronge on 20 October 1629 in Aldingbourne. (They have their own page.)
Elizabeth Leliet married John Elson on 10 November 1630 in Aldingbourne.
John Liliet of Angmering married Margery Hamper on 25 November 1630 in Washington, Sussex. She was of Washington.
Mrs. Marie Lilliatt, widow was buried in the Chanel at St. Peter the Less, Chichester, on 8 May 1631.
Mary Lylliatt married William Peeter by licence dated 20 October 1631 and issued by the Archdeaconry of Chichester. She was a spinster of Aldingbourne.
Thomas Lilliott and Joan had the following children:
1. Mary Liliotte was baptised on 20 January 1621 in Felpham.
2. Joan Lilliott was baptised on 15 August 1632 in Felpham.
3. Alice Lilyote was baptised on 19 February 1736/7 in Felpham, the daughter of Thomas and Joan.
John Lilliott married Joan Wiatt on 6 November 1631 in Felpham. They had the following child:
1. Alice Lilliott was baptised on 15 August 1632 in Felpham, the daughter of John and Jone.
Thomas Lilliott was buried on 18 August 1632 in Felpham.
Elizabeth Leliet married Henry Alen on 3 February 1633/4 in Aldingbourne.
Katherine Lilliatt married Thomas Hammond by licence on 11 May 1635 at St. Olave, Chichester. Their marriage licence was issued by the Pagham and Tarring Peculiar on 11 May 1635. She was a spinster and he a husbandman and they were both of Eartham.
Edward Leitlott had the following son:
1. Richard Leitlott was buried on 3 March 1636/7 at St. Pancras, Chichester.
Richard Lilliott and Elizabeth Weller married on 22 May 1638 in Maresfield, Sussex. He was of Isfield and she was a widow.
Thomas Lillyat married Mary Kent on 30 July 1639 in South Bersted.
Joan Liliet married John Lee on 25 November 1639 in Aldingbourne. She was from Lidsey and he was of Hoton.
Thomas Lillyat married Elizabeth Lock by licence on 22 July 1640 in South Bersted. Their marriage licence was issued on 20 July 1640 in the Pagham and Tarring Peculiar, which noted that he was a of South Bersted and she was a spinster.
Ann Liliet married John Elson on 20 September 1640 in Aldingbourne. She was of Lidsey and he was of Aldingbourne.
John Liliet married Eleanor Soutton, widow on 19 October 1641 in Aldingbourne. He was from Lidsey. A John Lilliett of Aldingbourne signed the 1641 Protestation Return.
Alice Liliat married Thomas Catericke on 16 November 1641 in Angmering.
William Lilliat married Martha Allin on 7 August 1643 in Eastergate, Sussex. He was then of Aldingbourne.
Robert Lilliet had the following children:
1. Robert Lilliet was baptised on 25 March 1645 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert from Lydsey.
2. John Liliet was baptised on 26 March 1646 in Aldingbourne, the son of Robert from Lydsey.
3. Martha Lilliatt was born on 30 May 1656 in Aldingbourne. Her birth was registered in the baptism register and she was the daughter of Robert from Lydsey.
4. Mary Lilliatt was born on 30 May 1656 in Aldingbourne. Her birth was registered in the baptism register and she was the daughter of Robert from Lydsey.
5. Mary Lilliett was baptised on 16 December 1662 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of Robert and Ann.
William Liliat married Alice [blank] of Bersted, on 13 November 1647 at St. Peter the Great, Chichester.

William and Alice had the following children:
1. Thomas Liliet was baptised on 27 February 1647 in Aldingbourne, the son of William.
2. William Lilliott was baptised on 4 March 1652 in South Bersted.
3. Damaris Lellyat was baptised on 9 December 1654 in South Bersted, the daughter of William and Alice.
4. Mary Lilliatt was born on 9 October 1660 and baptised on 6 November 1660 in South, Bersted, the daughter of William and Alice.
Elizabeth Liliat married Richard Tuffe on 14 December 1647 at St. Peter the Great, Chichester. They were both of South Bersted.
The widow Lelliot was buried on 27 August 1648 in Oving.
John Lilliatt had the following children:
1. Richard Lilliatt was baptised on 4 march 1651/2 in Aldingbourne, the son of John from Lydsey.
2. Hester Lilliet was baptised on 23 April 1658 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of John from Lydsey.
3. John Lilliett was baptised on 1 October 1662 in Aldingbourne, the son of John and Margaret from Lydsey.
4. Hester Lilliet was baptised on 26 September 1664 in Aldingbourne, the daughter of John and Margaret.
5. George Lelliet was baptised on 28 March 1667 in Aldingbourne, the son of John and Margaret from Lydsey.
Elizabeth Lilliatt married John Heale on 31 January 1653/4 in Aldingbourne.
Margaret Lilliatt, widow, married William Heale on 27 May 1654 in Aldingbourne.
Barbara Lillyet married John Pannete on 24 April 1656 in Angmering.
John Lilliatt married Margaret Wheller on 26 May 1656 in Aldingbourne. They had the following child:
1. Johannes Lilliett was baptised on 1 October 1662 in Aldingbourne, the son of Johanni and Margaritam.
John Lillat married Frances. They had the following children:
1. Mary Lilat was baptised on 5 September 1659 in Durrington, the daughter of John and Frances.
2. Ann Lillat was baptised on 12 January 1663 in Durrington, the daughter of John and Frances.
3. Edward Lillat was baptised on 15 March 1666 in Durrington, the son of John and Frances. An Edward Lelyat was buried on 25 August 1693 in Rustington.
  
  Edward may have married Jane. They had the following child:
  1. John Leliut was baptised on 1 July 1693 in Rustington, the son of Edward and Jane.
4. John Lillat was baptised on 22 June 1667 in Durrington, the son of John and Frances.
5. Thomas Lillat was baptised on 16 December 1671 in Durrington, the son of John and Frances.
6. Elizabeth Lillat was baptised on 17 October 1673 in Durrington, the daughter of John and Frances.
William Lilliet married Dinah Goffe on 9 December 1662 in Aldingbourne.

William Lilliot married Grace Shepheard on 8 October 1695 in Boxgrove.

Grace Lilliot, widow married William Booker, widower, on 28 April 1709 in Oving. They were both of Bersted.

Margaret Lilliot married William Madgwick by licence on 22 April 1701 at All Saints in Chichester. She was from Duncton and he was of Barlavington. Their marriage licence was issued on the same day by the Archdeaconry of Chichester, which also noted that she was a spinster.

1. Elizabeth Lilatt was born on 1 September 1722 and baptised on 15 September 1722 at St. Martins, Chichester. She died on 5 October 1723 and buried on 7 October 1723.

4. Elizabeth Liliat was baptised on 20 April 1729 at St. Peter the Less, Chichester.

Ann Lilyatt was born about 1736. She died aged 66 years and was buried on 5 November 1802 in Clayton.

John Lelliott was born about 1746. He died aged 84 years and was buried on 1 December 1830 in Clayton. The burial register noted that he was from Clayton Street.

7. Charles Lilliott was baptised on 24 May 1801 in Earnley. In 1861 he was said to be 61 years old and the innkeeper of the Royal Oak in Ditchling, Sussex, as well as farming 28 acres of land and employing 1 man. With him on census night were his 16 year old nephew George Lelliott born in Itchenor, 22 year old servant and housemaid Mary A. Farmer and 56 year old widow and housekeeper Sarah Longford.
8. Henery Lilliott was baptised on 4 September 1803 in Earnley.
  
  Henry married Maria Halsted on 16 November 1826 in Birdham.
  
  When the 1851 census was recorded, 50 year old Henry was living with his 50 year old wife Sarah at Mill in Sidlesham, Sussex. He was then a farm labourer and with couple on census night were 4 children.
  
  Henry had the following children:
  1. Charles Lelliott was born about 1835 in Earnley. He was a 16 year old farm labourer in 1851 and living at home.
  2. Stephen Lelliott was born about 1837 in Earnley. He was a 14 year old farm labourer in 1851.
  3. Ann Lelliott was born about 1839 in Sidlesham. She was said to be a 12 year old farm labourer in 1851.
  4. George Lelliott was born about 1843 in Sidlesham. He was 8 years old in 1851 and said to be at home.
9. Jane Lilliott was baptised on 4 August 1805 in Earnley.
10. James Lilliott was baptised on 7 June 1807 in Earnley. He died from a chest infection on 21 October 1842 in Birdham.
