Richard LANGRIDGE (1675-1737)

and Elizabeth (c1680-1724)

Richard Langridge and Elizabeth may have been my 7x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their possible place in my pedigree chart.)  They may have married in about 1700, but no possible marriage has been for them found for them in Sussex or Surrey marriage indexes.

Richard Langridge was baptised in January 1675 in Fletching, Sussex.  He was the son of Richard Langridge (1637-1678) and Elizabeth Garrett (?-?).  He and/or his father/son may have been a carpenter.  He may have been buried on 6 November 1737 in Fletching.

Elizabeth's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  She was buried on 17 February 1724 in Fletching.  The burial register noted that she was the wife of Richard Langridge.

Richard Langridge and Elizabeth had 4 known children:

1. Mary Langridge, my possible 6x Great Grandmother, was baptised on 14 September 1701 in Fletching.  She married Stephen Pearce in 1719.  (They have their own page.)

2. Elizabeth Langridge was baptised on 15 September 1706 in Fletching.

3. Richard Langridge was baptised on 17 June 1709 in Fletching.   He was probably buried on 30 May 1786 in Fletching.

   Richard married Jane Buckwell on 5 October 1732 in Fletching.  They were both of Fletching.

   Jane, wife of Richard Langridge was buried on 23 October 1781 in Fletching.

4. Robert Langridge was baptised on 13 August 1721 in Fletching.
