Edward LANGREGE (c1499-1558)

and Sybell (?-?)

 

Edward Langrege married Sybell.

Edward Langrege may have been born about 1499 and possibly in East Grinstead, Sussex.  He was the son of Robert Langregge (c1470-?).  Edward died on 9 December 1558 in East Grinstead.

 

Edward Langrege and Sybell had 6 known children:

  1. Edward Langredge may have been born about 1537 and possibly in East Grinstead.  He married Rose.  (They have their own page.)

  2. William Langredge may have been born about 1539 and possibly in East Grinstead.  (He has his own page.)

  3. Humfrey Langredge may have been born about 1540 and possibly in East Grinstead.

    Humfrey married Elizabeth Hill on 30 December 1560 in Fletching.

    Humfrey and Elizabeth had the following children:

    1. George Langredge was baptised on 6 November 1562 in East Grinstead.

    2. James Langredge was baptised on 6 May 1565 in East Grinstead.

    3. Johane Langredge was baptised on 6 May 1565 in East Grinstead.

    4. Elizabeth Langredge was baptised on 7 February 1568 in East Grinstead.

    5. Catherine Lanredge was baptised on 19 August 1571 in East Grinstead.

  4. Lawrence Langredge may have been born about 1542 and possibly in East Grinstead.

    Lawrence married Elizabeth.

    Lawrence and Elizabeth had the following children:

    1. Robert Langridge was born and died in 1572 in East Grinstead.

    2. Robert Langridge was baptised on 23 August 1573 in East Grinstead.  He died in 1625 in Horsted Keynes.

      Robert married Elenor Mane in 1597 in Warnham.

      Robert and Elenor had the following children:

      1. William Langridge was born in 1612 in Fletching.  He died in 1678.  He married twice, firstly to Elizabeth White on 11 November 1634 in Lindfield.  He then married Denise Hyder in 1650 in Heathfield.

      2. Bridget Langridge was baptised on 20 February 1612 in Fletching.

    3. Judith Langridge was baptised on 28 November 1575 in East Grinstead.  She may have married John Aword on 2 February 1593 in East Grinstead.

    4. Sara Langridge was baptised on 9 March 1577 in East Grinstead.

    5. Wyllyame Lutener Langridge may have been born in 1580 in East Grinstead.

    6. Thomas Langridge was baptised on 15 November 1584 in East Grinstead.

      Thomas married Margery Lay on 9 June 1611 in Horsted Keynes.

      Thomas and Margery had the following child:

      1. John Langridge was born in 1612.

    7. Edward Langridge was baptised on 30 April 1587 in East Grinstead.

    8. Lawrence Langridge was baptised on 17 August 1589 in East Grinstead.  He was buried on 3 September 1636 in Horsted Keynes.

      Lawrence married Mary Snashall on 22 April 1622 in East Grinstead.

      Mary was baptised on 1 March 1589 in Rotherfield, and was the daughter of Peter Snashall and Mary Newman.  She was buried on 20 November 1675.

      Lawrence and Mary had the following children:

      1. Maria Langridge was born in 1623.

      2. John Langridge was born in 1624.

      3. Mary Langridge was born in 1626.

      4. Lawrence Langridge was born in 1629.  He married Elizabeth Luxford on 21 May 1663 in Fletching.

  5. Alyce Langredge may have been born about 1554 and possibly in East Grinstead.  She married John Waterman on 3 May 1574 in East Grinstead.

  6. Margaret Langredge may have been born about 1555 and possibly in East Grinstead.
