Holy Trinity, Rudgwick, circa 1910 - from http://www.westsussexpast.org.uk/pictures/index.htmlJohn Knight's date and place of birth/baptism and marriage are unknown, to me.  He was my 7x Great Grandfather.

 

John Knight had 1 known child:

  1. Maria Knight, my 6x Great Grandmother, was baptised on 17 August 1712 at the parish church of Holy Trinity in Rudgwick, Sussex.  Only her father's name was recorded in the baptism register.  She married Andrew Goden in 1740.  (They have their own page.)

 

 

 

Rudgwick, Sussex is boarder by Cranleigh, Surrey and there were the following children of John Knight baptised in the parish:

  1. Mary Knight was baptised on 1691 in Cranleigh.

  2. Ann Knight was baptised on 21 May 1696 in Cranleigh and buried there on 28 August 1697.

  3. Mary Knight was baptised on 13 December 1698 in Cranleigh.

  4. John Knight was baptised on January 1699 in Cranleigh.

  5. Mary Knight was born on 26 March and baptised on 7 April 1700 in Cranleigh.

  6. John Knight was born on 9 October and baptised on 7 November 1701 in Cranleigh.

  7. Sarah Knight was born on 16 March and baptised on 2 April 1703 in Cranleigh.

  8. Richard Knight was baptised on 29 September 1708 in Cranleigh.

  9. John Knight was baptised on 21 June 1713 in Cranleigh.

  10. Elizabeth Knight was baptised on 19 August 1716 in Cranleigh.

 

 

John Knight married Rebecca before 1703.

John Knight may have been buried on 4 August 1727 or 12 February 1734 in Donnington.

Rebecca Knight wife of John was buried on 3 October 1703 in Donnington.

John Knight had the following children:

  1. Rebekah Knight was baptised on 20 May 1688 in Donnington, Sussex.  Only her father's name was recorded in the baptism register.

  2. Robert Knight was baptised on 5 March 1695 in Donnington.  Only his father's name was recorded in the baptism register.  He may have been buried on 15 March 1696 in Donnington.

  3. John Knight was baptised on 3 July 1697 in Donnington.  Only his father's name was recorded in the baptism register.

  4. Katherine Knight was baptised on 20 October 1700 in Donnington.  Only her father's name was recorded in the baptism register and he was then a labourer.  She may have been buried on 31 July 1712 in Donnington.

  5. Richard Knight was baptised on 18 July 1703 in Donnington.  The baptism register notes he was the son of John and Rebekah.

  6. Mary Knight was buried in Donnington on 15 November 1705 and it was noted in the burial register that she was the daughter of John.
