Thomas KITCHENHAM (1666-?)

and Dorothy ALLEN (1671-?)

 

Thomas Kitchenham and Dorothy Allen married on 25 March 1694 in Lindfield, Sussex.

Thomas Kitchenham was baptised on 23 July 1666 in Buxted, Sussex.  Against his baptism his parents names were recorded as Thomas and Anne, but I believe he was probably the son of Thomas Kitchenham and Mary Browne who had married on 7 October 1665 in Buxted.  He may also have been the Grandson of Thomas Kitchinham and Joan Merser who married on 18 June 1633 in Fletching.

Dorothy Allen may have been baptised on 12 March 1670/1 in Rotherfield, Sussex, and have been the daughter of Thomas Allen and Dorothy.

 

Thomas Kitchenham and Dorothy Allen had 6 known children:

  1. Ann Kitchinham was baptised on 21 April 1695 in Buxted.  Only her father’s name was recorded against her baptism.

  2. Dorothy Kitchinham was baptised on 19 June 1698 in Buxted.  Only her father’s name was recorded against her baptism. 

  3. Mary Kitchenham was baptised on 18 February 1703 in Buxted.  Only her father’s name was recorded against her baptism. 

  4. Gabriel Kitchenham was baptised on 30 October 1704 in Buxted.  Only his father’s name was recorded against his baptism.  He married Elizabeth Trice by Licence on 18 November 1730 in Withyham.  She was then of Withyham. 

  5. Thomas Kitchenham was baptised on 29 June 1707 in Buxted.  Both his parent’s names were recorded against his baptism. 

  6. John Kitchenham was baptised on 1 August 1708 in Buxted.  Both his parent’s names were recorded against his baptism.
