Thomas KING (1648-1714)

and Elizabeth PALMER (c1650-1726)

Thomas King and Elizabeth Palmer married on 5 June 1673 in Burwash, Sussex.

Thomas King was baptised on 13 August 1648 in Dallington, Sussex.  He was the son of Thomas King (1622-1704) and Mary Campany.  The Burwash burial register records that a Thomas King was buried on 19 November 1714.  He may also have left a will which was proved in Lewes (I haven't yet seen this will.)

Elizabeth Palmer's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  Elizabeth King, widow was buried on 12 October 1726 in Burwash.

Thomas King and Elizabeth Palmer had 7 known children:

  1. John King was baptised on 11 September 1676 in Dallington.

  2. Elizabeth King was baptised on 3 December 1678 in Dallington.

  3. A stillborn son of Thomas King was buried on 6 April 1682 in Dallington

  4. Elizabeth King was baptised on 2 December 1683 in Dallington.

  5. A stillborn child of Thomas King was buried on 16 February 1685/6 in Dallington.

  6. Thomas King was baptised on 12 June 1687 in Dallington.  He may have married Mary Austen Foster on 23 April 1719 in Heathfield, Sussex.

  7. William King was baptised on 14 May 1689 in Dallington.

A John King was buried on 16 February 1685/6 in Dallington.  The burial register only recorded his name and no other helpful information.
