and Sarah BUTLER (c1712-?)

was baptised on 21 January 1707/8 in

John Jones (1680-1733) and
Elizabeth Richardson (c1681-1777). He was buried in Salehurst on 16
date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me, but I am guessing that
she was born about 1712 in Salehurst, and that she was the daughter of
Butler (1665-?) and
Hickes (1679-?). They had 8 children baptised in Salehurst
between 1703 and 1722 and would seem to have been the only Butler family in
Salehurst at about the time Sarah may have been born. Or, she may have been the daughter of John Butler and Mary Fagg who were
of Burwash, Sussex, when they married in Mountfield on 26 February 1703/4,
but I think this unlikely. Given that John and Sarah named their first
2 daughters Elizabeth and Hannah, I am inclined to think they named them
after their respective mothers, and therefore, Thomas and Hannah were the
parents of Sarah.
