Richard ISTED (c1550-1617)

and Anne WARNETT (?-?)

 

Richard Isted and Anne Warnett married in about 1575.  They may have been my 11x Great Grandparents.

Richard Isted was the son of John Isted who was the son of John Isted of Framfield.  Richard's will was provedon 21 November 1617.

Anne Warnett's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me, but possibly in the 1550's in Framfield, Sussex.  Might she have been the daughter of William Warnet and Margaret Larsefield?

 

Richard Isted and Anne Warnett had 6 known children:

  1. Thomas Isted was born on 26 May 1577 in Framfield.  His will was proved on 11 August 1649.  Thomas married Elizabeth Twine in about 1604 at All Saints, Leicester (as per the IGI).  She was the daughter of Thomas Twyne Doctor of Physick of Lewes.  Her will was proved on 2 Marcy 1653/4.  Thomas and Elizabeth had the following known child:

    1. Richard Isted was a gent of Lewes.  His will was provedon 15 May 1655.  Richard married Anne Goodwyn by licence dated 26 September 1631.  She was the daughter of Edward Goodwyn of Dorking, Surrey.  Richard and Anne had the following children:

      1. Richard Isted was of Lewes.  His will was proved in 1697.

      2. Frances Isted was baptised on 15 Janaury 1639 at All Saints, Lewes.  She married John Godley of Chailey.

      3. Thomas Isted was baptised on 24 September 1641 at All Saints, Lewes.

      4. Ambrose Isted was baptised on 29 January 1642/3 at All Saints, Lewes.  He was of St. John's Square, Middlesex.  He died in 1692.  Ambrose married Sarah daughter of Thomas Feltham.  She died in 1725.

      5. Samuel Isted was baptised on 11 February 1643/4 at All Saints, Lewes.  He was of London.  He married Elizabeth Lucas by Vicar General licence dated 27 April 1674.  She was the daughter of Richard Lucas.

      6. John Isted was baptised on 20 August 1647 at All Saints, Lewes.

      7. Charles Isted was baptised on 4 November 1648 at All Saints, Lewes.

      8. Henry Isted

      9. Edward Isted was baptised on 17 December 1652 at All Saints, Lewes.

      10. Thomas Isted was baptised on 21 September 1651 at All Saints, Lewes.  He married Elizabeth daughter of Ambrose Trayton of Lewes.

      11. Jane Isted was baptised on 25 July 1654 at All Saints, Lewes.  She married [blank] Whiting of London.

      12. Anne Isted died unmarried in 1700.

  2. Richard Isted was baptised on 24 March 1578 at St. Clements in Hastings, Sussex.

  3. John Isted was baptised on 18 December 1580 at St. Clements in Hastings.

  4. Elizabeth Isted was baptised on 24 March 1582 in Hastings.  She married George Waterman on 16 November 1605 in Framfield.

  5. Edward Isted was baptised on 2 February 1584 at St. Clements in Hastings.  He married Margaret Averye in 1609.  (They have their own page.)

  6. William Isted was born about 1586 in Hastings.
