PROB 11/201 - 2 July 1647 - William Hollicke, yeoman of Southease, Sussex
In the name of God Amen I
William Hollicke of Southease in the
countie of Sussex yeoman being sick in body but of perfect memorie (thanks
be to God for it) doo make and ordaine this my last will and testament in
manner and form following first I commend my soule unto the hands of
Almighty God my Creator who I am [---] for his [---] [---] sake Jesus my
redeemer will ordane the same Item I will my body to be buried in the church
yard of Glynd where my former wifes be in[---] manner so shalbe thought fitt
by my Executor hereafter named Item I give to the poore of the parish Tenne
shillings Item I give to the poore of the parish of Southease tenne
shillings Item I give to the poore of the parish of South Malling twentie
shillings Item I give to my eldest daughter Anne Parson wife to
Abell Parson of -ood--ham all such debts [---] and [---] of money goods
and chattells as the said Abell her husband [---] me or hath of mind
Item I give unto my daughter Susan wife of John Brightridge of
[---] all such household stuffs as shee and her husband hath of mind now in
possession Item I give to my said daughter tenne pounds Item I give to
William Bat--m son of my daughter Baucumbe (that's what it
looks like) twentie shillings to paid to be at the age of one and
twentie [---] if he live soo long Item when [---] I am to pay to Anne
my wife sixe pounds thirteen shillings foure pence yearely during her life I
wil give and bequeath on to my daughter Elizabeth Baldine wife unto
Isak Balldye fourtie pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid to
her within three months after my death upon condition that the said
Isaacke Baldye give [---] to my Executor hereafter named [---] in the
said three months to pay fortie and seven shillings yearly to my said
Executor [---] duringe the life of my said wife towards the [---] of the
said sixe pounds thirteen shillings seven pence yearely if my said wife
shall hand the same paid otherwise not Item I will and give unto my sonne in
lawe Thomas Barkers children that is to say Thomas Barker ~
William Barker ~ Jone Barker ~ Elizabeth Barker tenne
pounds a peice to be paid by my Executor to them at the age of one and
twenty yeares and my will is if any of the said children [---] to die before
they come of age that such portion or portions shall be divided among the
rest [---] shall remayne alive equally Item I will and give unto Judeth
Parson my grandchild the summe of five pounds to be paid to her within
three months after my death if shee live soo longe Item I will and give unto
William Parson my grandchild the like summe of five pounds to be paid
at the age of one and twentie yeares if he live so longe Item I give unto
Abell Parson my grandchild five pounds to be paid to him at the age of
one and twentie yeares if he live soo long Item I give to Mary Parson
my grandchild the summ and of five pounds to be paid to her at the age of
one an twentie yeares if shee live soo longe Item I give unto my grandchild
John Parson five pounds to be paid to him at the age of one and
twentie yeares if the live soo longe Item I give unto Joane Parson my
grandchild five pounds to be paid at the age of one and twentie yeares if
shee live soo longe Item my will is that if any of those my grandchildren
shall happen to die before these legacies be paid that then the legacies of
[---] sa shall die shalbe equally divided amongst the rest [---] and alive
paid unto them as above will [---] by me Item I will John Brightrige
and Isaacke Baldye to be overseers of this my last will and testament
Item for the rest of my goods and chattells my debts legacies beinge paid
and funerall sermon discharged I wholly give and bequeath unto my William
Hollick my only sonne whom I doo make my sole and only Executor In
witness where of I have here unto sett my hand and seale and pulbish this to
be my last will and testament the day and yeare above written William
