and Elizabeth LANGLEY (c1730-1798)
were married on 8 October 1752 in
Upper Beeding, Sussex. He was then of Henfield. (They were not
my direct ancestors).
Holder was baptised on 22 November 1730 in Woodmancote. His
father's name was recorded as Goodman Holder in the baptism register,
who was then a journeyman shoemaker at Blackstone Street. Many fathers
were named "Goodman" in the Woodmancote registers at that time!
Richard's parents were most likely to have been
John Older who
in 1733 was also described as a journeyman shoemaker of Blackstone Street,
and Anne Avery.
Langley's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.
She may have been baptised on 25 August 1734 in Henfield, Sussex, and have
been the daughter of Thomas Langly and Sarah Rawly.
Elizabeth Holder was buried on 1 July 1798 in Woodmancote.

Elizabeth Older was baptised on 29 April 1764 in Woodmancote.
Before her marriage Elizabeth had an illegitimate daughter:
was baptised on 22 July 1787 in Woodmancote. She married

Elizabeth married William Coppard by licence on 6 March 1790 in Woodmancote. He was then of Poynings. The witnesses to the
marriage were Charles Dennett and William Piper and they
were married by the Curate, Thomas Marchant.
was baptised on 24 Mary 1767 in Woodmancote. He married

Richard Holder was baptised on 12 April 1772 in Woodmancote.
The Woodmancote register records the following

Richard Holder on 5 July 1773 - no further details.
Richard Older on 26 October 1781 - no further details.
Might the first Richard have been a son of Richard and Elizabeth's born soon
after they married? Could the second be that of the son born in 1772
and the third of Richard senior? However, Richard born in 1730, may
have had an Uncle
