the parish church of St. Mary's in Billingshurst, Sussex.

He was buried there on 28 August 1767. Jeremiah left a will dated 24
July 1767 and proved on 25 September 1767 (click

Might he have had a brother named John Older who was baptised aged 28
years on 15 December 1734 in Shipley, the son of John Older and
was baptised on 7 March 1700/1 in Horsham, Sussex. She was the
William Longhurst and
Young. Her father was a weaver. Ann was buried on 2
December 1768 in Billingshurst and the burial register recorded that she was
a widow. She was appointed the sole executrix of her husband's will.

He was then a bachelor and she a spinster. The witnesses to their

Arthur was baptised on 3 February 1754 in Billingshurst and was the son
James Older was baptised on 22 February 1756 in Billingshurst.
James married Sarah Mann on 10 October 1781 in Pulborough.
James and Sarah had 7 known children:
Sarah Older was baptised on 7 August 1782 in Billingshurst.
At the time her parents were of Pulborough.
Elizabeth Older was baptised on 4 September 1785 in Wisborough

Olive Older was baptised on 27 December 1768 in Pulborough.
She died aged 59 years and was buried on 7 March 1828 in Pulborough.

witnesses to their marriage were Nicholas Warner and

Ann married Thomas Moor by licence on 11 October 1760 in
Billingshurst. The witnesses to their marriage were Jeremiah Older
and Sarah Older. The licence was issued by the
Archdeaconry of Chichester on 3 October 1760 and recorded that Thomas was
a 30 year old bachelor and farmer, and Ann was a 28 year old spinster of
Thomas was baptised on 7 June 1730 in Billingshurst and was the son of
John Moor and Hannah Greenfield. He was buried on 7 March
1794 in Billingshurst. On 13 May 1762 in Billingshurst he may have
been a witness to the marriage of James Stenning and Sarah Moore.
Then on 4 February 1791 in Billingshurst, he may have been a
witness to the marriage of Daniel Parker and Hannah Standen.

Mary Moore was baptised on 6 April 1764 in Billingshurst.
Martha Moor was baptised on 9 May 1770 in Billingshurst.
Martha married William Mann by licence on 25 November 1788 in
Billingshurst. He was then from Rudgwick, Sussex. The
witnesses to their marriage were Thomas Moore and John Elliott.

Elizabeth Oulder was baptised on 10 February 1739/40 in
Billingshurst. She was mentioned in her father's will as
Sarah Oulder was baptised on 20 March 1741/2 in Billingshurst.
She was mentioned in her father's will as Sarah wife of John
Sarah married John Burchall on 24 May 1767 in Pulborough.
Olive Older was baptised on 25 March 1746/7 in Billingshurst.
She was baptised as Oliva Holden, daughter of Jeremy Holden
and Ann. She was mentioned in her father's will of 1767 as Olive

Olive Richardson was baptised in 1684 Thakeham, daughter of Francis
Richardson and Mary Carry. She may have married William
Manser on 24 July 1716 in Thakeham.
Olive Eversfield was baptised on 4 April 1704 in Horsham, daughter
of Charles Eversfield and Mary.
Olive Hammond was baptised on 4 May 1704 in Pulborough, daughter of
John Hammond and Hannah Blunden.
Olive Richardson was baptised on 19 July 1711 in Thakeham, daughter
of John Richardson and Mary.
Olive Yong was baptised on 21 June 1724 in Billingshurst, daughter
of John Yong and Jane Turner. John and Jane had
married on 2 July 1723 in Billingshurst, when he was said to be of East
Meon, Hampshire and she a widow of Billingshurst. As Jane Turner
of Billingshurst, she may have previously married William Turner of
Slindold on 13 October 1711 in Itchingfield, Sussex. Olive died as
an infant and was buried on 25 July 1724 in Billingshurst.
Olive Hammond was baptised on 21 February 1730 in West Chiltington,
daughter of William Hammond and Ann. As Olive
Hammonds of Wiston, she may have married Dennis Bartlet of
Wiston on 6 February 1748/9 in Wiggonholt, Sussex.
Olive Batchelor was baptised on 10 December 1734 in Billingshurst,
the daughter of John Batchelor and Mary Brooker. They
had married on 1 June 1727 in Billingshurst when he was of Newdigate,
Surrey and she of Billingshurst.
Olive Jays was baptised on 10 February 1737 in Billingshurst, the
daughter of William Jays and Catherine Butcher. They
had married on 1 July 1722 in Billingshurst. Olive was buried on 18
July 1739 in Billingshurst.
Olive Johnson married James Tully on 27 December 1756 in
Shipley. Olive was of Shipley and James of Horsham.
A Jeremiah Warren son of William Warren was buried as an
infant on 31 May 1680 in Billingshurst.
